Ellapaella love that rainbow jumper.
ilove your outfit sounds fab, it does not need to be Christmas to wear a bit of sparkle! Like you most of my clothes are second hand from charity shops and eBay etc. Ever Since I was a young teen I would rummage through charity shops as I feel that I don't want to support fast fashion. Then having spent 8 years being a student and then up until last few years a single parent, I had to be careful of my expenditure. So second hand clothing in good makes and natural fabrics that 'match' what I already have in my wardrobe is how I rock and roll. That and birthday/Christmas gifts.
I mend and alter clothing to look after them and make sure that they fit me how I would like them to. Some of my clothes I have had for about 25 years, my wardrobe has been built up slowly and carefully. Colour being an important factor. So although I have many designer or 'good high street' labels, I have never really spent more than a few pounds on an item.
For instance, yesterday I wore a Wallis burgundy leather pencil skirt, it was £15 in a charity shop 6 ish years ago, in perfect new condition with a small hole where the lining was coming unstiched. I simply mended it.
Phase 8 blackberry purple merino wool jumper with gathered detailing on one shoulder was about £5 pounds and bought 8 years ago in mint condition.
M&S wine heatgen top, end of stock, sale price about £5 a couple of years ago.
Trasparenze Jennifer merino wool tights in purple, these were new, I do buy new tights.
Purple, deep pink and burgundy cashmere and silk wrap, embroidered and mirrored, from a secondhand clothes shop, about £10, 17 years ago.
Wallis purple suede high heeled shoes, they were second hand (new condition with labels and boxed) from eBay, £5, 3 years ago.
Amethyst, rainbow moonstone and silver earrings and necklace, by a local silversmith for a graduation gift from my parents, 20 years ago.
