Teeth whitening that doesn’t hurt...

...does it exist?

Crest strips HURT and made me feel sick. The Zoom! custom-made take-home whitening trays also HURT and the taste running down my throat was vile.

Is there any dentist treatment in the chair that works & is not $$$$??

(Yes, I tried numbing gel etc, it didn’t cut it. No more trays or strips for me!)

Have you tried a licensed mobile beautician that does tooth whitening? Cost me about £40 and the results were unbelievable (I admittedly had awfully stained teeth for someone of my age). £20 for a top up every 5-6 months. It didn't hurt as such, but my teeth were a tad more sensitive than usual for a day or two.

Also tried the trays and strips, they were expensive, did nothing and made my mouth feel weird and gums sore!

Shock I had no idea that was a thing! Perhaps it’s not here (am in Aus), but will look into it. Sounds perfect.

My teeth are not even very discoloured, I’d just like them a bit whiter.

Charcoal Toothpowder. Use once or twice a week and excellent results. Available from many brands in amazon, search for activated charcoal.
Feels funny at first but use a toothbrush full each time. Is less abrasive than micro pearls or strong chemicals and makes a huge difference, especially if your teeth are not too bad, just too much tea or 🍷

I use the dentist-fitted trays and colgate optic white whitening fluid that I buy from the dentist. I have sensitive teeth and so she gives me the low peroxide version (about 6% I think) and it doesn't hurt at all. Only need to freshen up about 2x per month after the original course of daily for two weeks. It's more expensive to go with the dentist-fitted trays but it gives better results. After the original outlay (about £250 from memory) the fluid is about £50 a pack and a pack lasts a year.
