bras with side boning?

Can anyone recommend bras with side boning that might be available on the high street rather than just online?

I tried the Debenhams back-smoothing bra and it didn't fit me well at all (and still had to be ordered as they had none in the shop).

I've seen others listed on blogs and articles, but either discontinued now (articles from a year ago or more) or only in the US.

I have a lot of back fat, and always end up with the bra band folded in half. Even the smoothing bras with very wide side panels end up rolling up at the bottom so don't seem to be enough - i think it probably has to be some kind of boning to prevent that. I'm not that large a cup size though, 38D usually, and sometimes the ones with more support start at E or higher.

Ideally I want a bra to wear everyday, so fairly smooth, and preferably not any more padding than necessary.

I have a couple of curvy kate moulded t-shirts bras now that I wear all the time, but they still roll up a lot at the bottom of the band. I heard that Triumph did some boning in the larger sizes, but when I emailed and asked for which bras specifically had this, they couldn't tell me, and there isn't one close. There is a Bravissimo here, but I'm not sure I"m larger enough for that. We have a Debenhams, and a John Lewis, and I'm fairly close enough to London or other cities to get to most high street shops. But even if I had to order online in the end rather than trying it on, that would be OK.

Any recommendations for specific bras that have boning that are easily available? thanks

Almost all Tesco bras have it. Unfortunately. I hate it, it digs into me in a very painful fashion.

Have you tried racer back bras? they might stay on your shoulders better

I haven't yet, but I'll add them to my list to try. They look like they'd be harder to get into!

I just measured according to that website above, and got 37.5 around the band and about 43 around, harder to tell that one, which sounds like 38DD, but I know that D cups already leave gaps, especially on my smaller side. But it sounds like it might be worth trying some 36 band ones as well, either D or DD .

I just went out for a walk/jog with my sports bra that fits quite well, which is a 38D Victoria Secret one that was in the sale, so not sure I can get more of them. Plus it's fairly wild coloured, and has a zip front, which both show under clothes, and is slightly padded, though maybe that's not such an issue (my buttons often gape a bit so was hoping for non-padded ones, though I don't mind slightly moulded). But the band is a sort of thicker ribbed elastic, and though it rolled a tiny bit, it wasn't much. If they made that in nude colour, and I could hide the zip more, I might consider it!
