How much per month do you spend on beauty products/treatment?

As I get older my monthly spend seems to get higher.

I buy certain creams, cleansers, shampoos etc And also have my nails done at a salon along with lash infills so I'm guessing I spend approx £100 a month all in on beauty products & treatments. I dye my own hair so that cuts the cost.

What does everyone else spend?

Oh actually I hadn't put in my botox bill in that so it's actually higher Blush

Probably more than I think:

Balayage 3 x year £300 pa
extra cuts 3 x year £60 pa
botox 2/3 x year £300 pa
foundation and powder 4 x year £180pa ( I wear a full face every day but have masses of every other product and I'm not buying more until they're gone)
shampoo, conditioner hair oil £200ish
lotions and potions - £150ish now that I've started buying decent products.
occasional other treatments - lashes, facial - perhaps £200 pa

So probably £110 a month ish even though I wouldn't have thought it.

My hair: about £100 3/4 times a year!
Face: £10 a month
Shampoo: £10 a month.
Make up: as and when. Probably £8 a month!
Looks like my hair dominates! Grin

A fortune. manicures £30 x 2 a month. Cut and colour £100 every 8 weeks. HD Brows £30 a month. Botox £200 every 4/5 months. Facials £60+ a month. Pedicures £30 a month but only in the summer.

Skincare is not too outrageous as I don't buy high end skin care so less than £8 a month on that. Makeup is more , I can go months and months and not buy a thing but then I will have a spree so prob about £400 a year.

I am not going to add it all up. I'm happier not knowing.

Oh gosh.
Haircut and colour, every 6 weeks - works out to £50pm
Eyelash extensions, every three weeks - works out to £33pm
Eyebrow wax, every three weeks - works out to £13pm
Make up and skincare, top up every 6 weeks - works out to £35pm ish
Shampoo/conditioner/haircare - £10pm
Manicure, every 3 weeks - works out to £33pm ish

So... £164pm. Bugger.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 15/01/2018 12:30

Haircut and colour approx every six weeks £130 a time

Shampoo/conditioner/hairspray/mousse/deodorant maybe £10 pcm

Foundation/ powder/ mascara etc maybe £10 pcm

Skincare I'm using up everything I have before starting again but we're talking The Ordinary level so £10 pcm at most.

Still works out at £127 a month though. Faaaak.

I do my own nails

Considering I don't do much to myself at all, I am quite surprised at how much I spend:

Hair cut - 50€ every 6 weeks
Hair dye - L'Oreal casting on offer so generally 6€ a pop (do it every 3 months)
Hair care - probably works out at about 5€ a month
Make-up - nothing. Last things I bought in 2017 were perfume (used Boots points) and a Clinique stubby lips thing
Skin care (cleanser/moisturiser) - 10€ every two months absolute max

Once a year I buy sunscreen - might splash out on a Clarins, or French pharmaceutical brand - about 30€

Ummm - think that's all. Let's say about 50€ per month?

TheOtherGirl · 15/01/2018 18:09

God, it's a lot Blush

Shellac manicure every 2 weeks = £50

OPI pedicure every month = £25

Lycon waxing every 6 weeks = £45

Hair cut + colour every 6 weeks = £120

Various body lotions and facial potions approx. = £50 a month

Never had Botox yet. But never say never...

Sheeeesh · 15/01/2018 18:23

Hair £15/month
Make up £10/month max
Skin care £5/month

Still more than I thought.

Probably around a tenner. I don’t dye my hair (cost, toxicity and damage to hair and skin, irritation that men don’t dye) and buy toiletries and make up products that are not tested on animals from places like superdrug. I do splash out on moisturiser, liz earle.
