Blowdrying fringe - help

missfliss · 11/01/2018 18:14

Just had a fringe cut. I really love it actually but have no idea how to make it look nice and lie properly myself. I'm a bit shit at hair to be honest.

Any tips? It's quite a heavy bluntish fringe but slightly side swept.

Was supposed to be a bit like Alexa Chungs fringe in the 2nd pic.

Sorry no idea but your hair is lovely!

Figrollsnotfatrolls · 11/01/2018 18:17

Big round brush and hot setting!!

angularmerkel · 11/01/2018 18:21

Ooh this is a complete first for me to be able to assist in anything Hair or beauty related but I have a similar fringe, though a bit longer, and my stylist told me to get a large round brush and blow dry it under in the opposite direction to the way you want it to lie.

So if your fringe is on the right side (parting on the left) you blow it up and towards the left. Does that make sense?

I am completely crack handed so invested in a babyliss big Hair for this manoeuvre and I've never looked back!

Your hair is lovely. Good luck!

Cack handed, I'm not a drug dealer Blush

Ooh thankyou angular (and all the commenters). So you kind of dry it the opposite way you want it to go?
Also, do you dry your fringe first doesn't have a chance to dry wonky?

Also what to you do with it on non wash days?

Have a look for Sali Hughes on You Tube

angularmerkel · 11/01/2018 18:49

Yes, absolutely that - dry it the way you don't want it to go.

I find that mine stays ok on non-wash days so I can't answer that really.

angularmerkel · 11/01/2018 18:50

And I rough dry it all off so it's nearly dry then blow dry he fringe and the front sides. I don't care what it looks like from the back Grin

No idea as I'm a curly bap but just wanted to say your hair is lovely Smile

Mosaic123 · 11/01/2018 18:55

I always dry mine first.

popcorntime · 11/01/2018 18:55

Non wash days hair goes in a ponytail and I wash my fringe in the sink Blush

TheBitterBoy · 11/01/2018 19:03

Ooh ooh I know this one! This video from Sali Hughes from a few years ago - absolutely revolutionised my fringe, it always lies properly now.

missfliss · 11/01/2018 19:16
