New Year, New Greasy Hair, New Parlux Hairdryer

Posting for a bit of a grumble and to kick myself...asked DH for an expensive Parlux hairdryer for Christmas, which he dutifully purchased.

After two weeks, my (very clean and frequently washed) hair is almost damp, stringy and greasy looking. I googled ionic hairdryers and lo and behold, some people have this issue. Arse.

I don’t think I can carry on using it. Feel bad for the waste, and also that I can’t use it (its otherwise lovely).

I guess I’m stuffed, aren’t I?

Fine haired people, learn from my mistakes!

I will buy it from you! PM me!

Thanks for the offer, Mare! I haven’t decided what to do with the thing just yet, given it was a gift (that I asked for Blush) but if I sell it I’ll drop you a message, no problem.

I’m a little surprised my less than glowing review made you want to buy it, tbh! Smile

I used my old dryer this morning and my hair is 50% back to normal, so I expect it may take another day or two to correct the limp strands.

Thanks for that light. I’m in the market for a new hair dryer & heard great things about parlux.

I have fine hair but loads of it. It’s not for me either then.

They do non ionic ones too, I think, Nelly. Just the one I wanted and got (the 385) happens to be ionic/ceramic. I had no idea a hairdryer could make my hair greasy!
