Deep, staying, forehead wrinkles

I have the most awful forehead lines. They are making me look old and haggard. I am 31!

So I'm organising consultations with a couple of dermatologists and investigating options. Has anyone successfully treated anything like this? Please tell me everything. I'll try anything be it a product, a treatment or some crystals and chanting. I'll post a pic below Sad

I had lines in my 30s and Ive been using perfect and protect serum since it was released, and now they are not so bad.
(of course it may be my eyesight now I'm in my 50s)

Oooh good luck! Hope you're pleased with the results.

Nearlythere35 · 08/01/2018 20:09

Hi, if anyone could recommend someone good in the Midlands I'd be grateful. I'm looking for someone to make me look natural just less haggered!! 😂

IfNot · 08/01/2018 20:12

Fuck Botox. Get a fringe!

DecoysBitch · 08/01/2018 20:16

Fringes don't suit everyone, I tried, I looked like an extra from Prisoner Cell Block H.

Fosterdog123 · 08/01/2018 20:17

The Consultant Clinic is second to none. They practice out of a few main cities round the country.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 08/01/2018 20:32

Yeah seriously fuck Botox!

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 08/01/2018 20:33

Different types of fringes though aren't there... bangs rock!!

Ndotto · 09/01/2018 12:14

DecoysBitch I am in Greater Manchester - please can you PM me your recommended practitioner? Want my forehead sorting but have been too scared to go as don't know who is reputable without personal recommendation (and too embarrassed to ask all my friends if they have had Bo!)

Bimbler · 09/01/2018 12:32

I got a fringe thinking I'd look like Zooey Deschanel. I was very fucking wrong. I looked like someone presenting a 1970s BBC Open University programme.

But all my friends got a good laugh out of it, so not all was lost! Grin

Fosterdog123 · 09/01/2018 12:58

Ndotto - the consultant clinic is first class. I've had lots of different docs over the years and these are the best. You can see a lot of their work on Instagram. Dr Raph is amazing but has a wait list. Nearest place to you is outskirts of Bolton.

Aridane · 09/01/2018 13:55

Darth - yes, I found the fillers did hurt - but it wasn't unbearable and it didn't last too long. As another poster has said, they do use a numbing cream. Basically they inject and massage it around a bit. It doesn't feel lumpy or anything. The most amazing thing about fillers is that their effect is instantaneous - no hanging around for the benefits like botox.

However, I do need 2ml of fillers for my nose to lip lines instead of 1ml - they must be quite deep.

I have thinking about 'tear trough fillers' - ie fillers for under the eyes to remove the sunken hollows. However, I am nervous about injections so near the eye area, it hurting, the potential for it to go wrong etc. I will ask about it tomorrow when I have my (top up) botox and fillers done.

TheBakeryQueen · 09/01/2018 14:03

Andrew Greenwood in Bromsgrove. He is a dentist who specialises in Botox and fillers. I've always been pleased with the results. Not had filler yet but might do in a few years.

DecoysBitch · 09/01/2018 15:22

Grin @ Bimbler, sounds a v similar situation to mine.

Will pm you later Ndotto, don't think I can directly from the app.

Ndotto · 09/01/2018 19:22

Thank you DecoysBitch .. and thanks also Fosterdog123. Shall check both out and hopefully be less corrugated in the forehead department by spring! Grin

OlennasWimple · 09/01/2018 19:37

Prescription strength retinoid gel should soften the line (though not remove it altogether)

Writersblock2 · 09/01/2018 20:54

Botox is incredible. Best thing I’ve ever had done. Well, apart from maybe the lip fillers. It’s so common these days too, and practitioners are generally more skilled so it doesn’t look as fake.

Aridane · 10/01/2018 22:18

Oh my goodness - have just had my Botox and fillers. Posted earlier that I was having fillers in the lines from nose to mouth (and beyond) as I’ve had before.

And I’m so pleased with the results of the fillers. After some discussion, the nurse suggested using fillers not in the nose to moth lines but in the cheeks. This has subtly lifted the area, made my face less droopy and removed the creases!!

The nurse asked what my concerns were - and I said that just generally I was looking tired. I know the Botox will help with making me look less tired (from past experience) but had no idea the fillers could help with general droopiness and slight sagging.

lovemylover · 10/01/2018 23:36

Oooh Aridane i am thinking of having cheek filles, do they really lift your face a bit. pics please please
I am having botox tomorrow
Was it very expensive? i think the lady i go to charges about £400, but will ask about cheek fillers

Aridane · 11/01/2018 09:10

Where I go they have an offer once or twice a year for fillers of buy l ml get 1 ml free - which is what I took advantage of. I only needed 1 ml.

I had juvederm voluma, the most expensive filler they have ( Sad ) and that is £495. But effectively half price because of the offer.

I was so impressed with the results that I have booked myself in for tear trough fillers next week to address the hollows under my eyes. That's not cheap and they don't do offers on that although the results apparently last 12 - 18 months.
