Dry body brushing - do you? Should I? How?

I vaguely recalled hearing the wonders of dry body brushing for the skin and so I recently bought a brush. I use it when I remember and I can't yet say whether it is improving my skin or not. Then I happened across an article explaining a complicated sequence of full body brushing that must be completed to have a good effect, apparently due to the brushing massaging the lymph nodes or some such. Any views on whether this is right or not? Am I wasting my time doing the occasional swipe at my arms and legs when I have time before a shower? Should I commit to a precise massaging brushing routine? Or is that part all nonsense and the benefit will come from the surface of the skin being, well, brushed?

Grateful to hear other's experiences and whether it really is revolutionary if done right, or whether my half-baked attempts are likely to lead to glowing fulfilment.

Thanks!

I do it when I remember regularly and I can see a difference when I do it over a few days. I tend to get bumpy, spotty upper arms and the dry brushing helps smooth the skin.

I think I remember reading that it also boosts your circulation, and to help that you should always brush towards your heart. However, I may well have made that up!!
