I'm looking for recommendations please oh wise ones?

I've combination skin and no real routine other than cleanse in shower, no7 p&p moisturiser and eye cream morning and night.

My skin is starting to become drier but tzone still tends to be oilier but no breakouts.

Suggestions for a reasonably priced cleanser I can use in the shower, or other must have skincare suggestions or improvements welcomed!

Dermalogica Special cleansing gel.

Thank you for replying! Any other suggestions that are a little cheaper?

I use Liz Earl hot cloth cleanse or Elave. Bot are good and reasonably priced too.

I massage in Take the day of balm and then remove with a flannel in the shower

OneMoreOne · 06/01/2018 21:18

Hmmm none of those much cheaper than Dermalogica I don't think.

I had La Roche Posey one from Boots, was about £5 I think. About to try Murad one hut was £25 Shock

My budget is max about £10...

I used the Clinique facial soap for years - the bar one not the liquid. It lasts ages - a big bar used to last a year! I've moved on now as my skin has got drier with age. (Now use Balance Me facial wash which I love but would be over your £10 budget, and doesn't last anywhere near as long as the Clinique one!)

No7 do a nice hot cloth cleanser that you would massage in first then you could remove with a flannel and warm water in the shower. It gets good reviews online and I’ve tried it and it’s comparable to the much pricier Liz Earle version.

StylishDuck · 06/01/2018 22:37

No7 do a decent foaming cleanser for the shower for around £10. And if you already use their moisturiser they often do 3 for 2 offers too.

Currently £5 on offer!

Go to your local superdrug or boots and look at balms and coasting creams. Simple does a cheap one.

IvysMum12 · 06/01/2018 22:39

Aldi's Lacura range: I use the facial cleansing wipes before bed, the gel face wash in the shower. They have moisturisers for day and night which are fabulous and great value.

IvorBiggun · 06/01/2018 22:46

Check out Super Facialist by Una Brennan at Boots. The rose cream cleanser is very good and I’ve tried many but that’s the best and one I go back to again and again.

However for the issue you have I would suggest adding a serum with hyaluronic acid. I like Vichy acqua thermal (the blue one) but I’m about to give The Ordinary a try because the Vichy has got a bit pricy lately. At the moment I’m using a Super Facialist beroli firming serum I think I got on a 3 for 2 and it seems good.

IvorBiggun · 06/01/2018 22:46

neroli

Judydreamsofhorses · 06/01/2018 23:09

I like Boots Botanics cleansing balm, amongst others, which is within your budget. I massage it in while I wait for the shower to warm up, then remove it with a face cloth in the shower. I’m not sure what The Ordinary do in cleanser terms, but the things I have tried from there have been excellent and very cheap.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/01/2018 23:22

Indeed Labs do a Powdered Facial Exfolliant ( I rediscovered my bottle of it under the sink today) Add water , it foams a bit , rub on, wash off.

I don't wear make-up though so I'm just using to cleanse not removal.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 07/01/2018 10:59

Super drug do a hot cloth cleanser. Might be in the vitamin E range?

atomicnotsoblonde · 07/01/2018 14:48

Thank you so much! I'm going to have a look and get one as a treat. I know cleansing isn't really a treat, but it will be nice to have something nice to try that's just for me Smile

Combination skin with oily t-zone here - I've used Simple's age defying face wash in the shower for ages and it's great for getting everything off and neither drying me up nor breaking me out. Cheap as chips because it's usually on offer in Boots and Superdrug.

Hauntedlobster · 07/01/2018 14:54

Both Superdrug and no7 do copies of Liz Earle. I like them both but use Liz Earle —because my Nana buys it for me from QVC—

MountainDweller · 09/01/2018 23:41

Cleansing with something lovely is definitely a treat! Am currently working my way through the Liberty advent calendar ones - loving the votary cleansing oil!

Mmmmmmmchips · 10/01/2018 08:55

I would avoid washing face in shower. The water is too hot and will dry your skin out. Unless of course you are having cool to warm showers- then carry on!
