Work from home/sahm wardrobe

I have a 9 month old DD and I have just started a new job working from home part time. I am short and due to ill health have put on weight so am a 14-16. I have slipped into bad habits and wear the same couple of baggy jumpers and t-shirts with ‘lounge’ pants or jeans if I need to go out. My main focus has been comfort but I would like to get some sense of my old hippy/boho style back.

I like tunic dresses and got a few White stuff tunics on EBay but they are either too low cut or a bit of an odd fit (so need to be charity shopped/ re-Ebayed). I often end up layering them to keep warm too, as I feel the cold.

Where can I find things that will be a) comfortable (and a good fit on a short plumpton), b) smart enough to wear outside the house and c) have a bit of a hippy feel? Will happily settle for stuff that meets a) and b). Grin

Thanks in advance.

There is nothing wrong with lounge wear if done properly and in a non scruffy way. Hush, wrap London, mint velvet all have good peices in comfortable fabrics that look lovely if worn with your hair done, make up and jewellery. This can also create a nice boho look.
I like hareme trousers, a baggyish cashmere jumper (loads on eBay you do not have to pay a lot!) long necklace and converse hitops.
I think it is a stylish look without being mumsy. Tunics, leggings and ankle boots can look frumpy IMO. Comfort isn’t a thing to avoid - I only wear clothes that are very comfortable but I make sure I look stylish in them.

Oh yes, I am full of frump! Feeling very dowdy at the moment.

Those harem style trousers look so comfy, but I fear they will cling in the wrong places and highlight any wobbly bits. I will be brave and try them.

I don't do much with my hair at the moment as DD takes delight in pulling it if not clipped up out of the way. Make up is a rarity and jewellery is also minimal due to aforementioned mini magpie. I will make more of an effort though.

Will look into those brands, thank you. I may need slightly sturdier soles than Converse for health reasons, but I reckon I could find something similar to go with the trousers.

Messy bun for your hair - then your dd has nothing to pull on.
Stud earrings and a bangle with a loose scarf instead of a necklace as you feel the cold and doesn’t matter if your dd wants to yank it! Good luck. it’s hard when you get lost with trying to look after your family etc but spending a bit of time on yourself will really make you feel amazing!

Oh yes, DD loves scarves. Grin Thanks again!
