Dry shampoo - any good?

I have long fine hair and the day after I've washed it it's very limp with no body.

Do you think dry shampoo could work for me?

I’d give it a go ! Can’t hurt can it! Try to was it as little as you possibly can! My sister has the same kind of hair and this has helped her from this problem x

KarmaStar · 01/01/2018 20:17

For fine hair it's great it really thickens it up

BrokenBattleDroid · 01/01/2018 20:21

I just use cornflour in a herb shaker, much nicer end result but takes a few moments longer as it requires massaging in a bit.

squoosh · 01/01/2018 20:26

I wouldn't be without it.

Summersummer18 · 01/01/2018 20:39

Oh great I'll get some. Any brand in particular?

I have fine bob length hair and wouldn't be without it. I use batiste.

Hoppinggreen · 01/01/2018 20:41

I like the Aussie miracle one, it smells nice and is completely clear rather than white

longtompot · 01/01/2018 20:42

Batisse seems to be the best one I have tried, and it comes in several 'flavours'.

Anditstartsagain · 01/01/2018 20:44

I use it for my fine limp hair on day 2 after a wash then again day 3 with a pony tail sometimes I can even get a 4th day in a pony tail. I use the batiste tint of dark one for my greys.

squoosh · 01/01/2018 20:44

I've tried many types but Batiste is my favourite. My hair is very fine and very straight too and this stuff really is a lifesaver for preventing stringy, mid afternoon hair. Without it I'd definitely have to wash my hair daily whereas with it I only need to wash my hair every other day.

MsHomeSlice · 01/01/2018 20:44

I only really like the Batiste one....any "flavour" though, somehow the others seem more spray-ish than dry

yippyyappy · 01/01/2018 20:50

I've tried a bunch of posh ones and they're all shit.

Bastiste is the best.

MortalEnemy · 01/01/2018 20:54

I find the Batiste plumping powder better for volumising limp newly-washed hair.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 01/01/2018 21:00

Batiste is the best - I've tried loads of varying prices and promises and always got back to Batiste!

Summersummer18 · 01/01/2018 21:21

Thanks everyone, definitely buying it tomorrow

Just got MoroccanOil (lighter tones) after several years of Batiste - definitely a step up. (Moneywise as well Hmm )

MeadowHay · 01/01/2018 22:53

Dry shampoo is great, although the really cheap own-brand ones I've tried have been poo. DH and I are loyal to Batiste, it's excellent and the cheapest 'brand' one.

StylishDuck · 01/01/2018 23:00

I'm sure you can buy a travel sized can of batiste in boots/Superdrug if you didn't want to buy a massive can without trying it. I have fine hair in a chin length bob and normally wash every day but I have when I'm feeling lazy used batiste occasionally. It's not quite the same as freshly washed hair but it's definitely passable.

squoosh · 01/01/2018 23:04

Batiste is generally on a half price promotion at either Boots or Superdrug.

Gwenhwyfar · 01/01/2018 23:06

They don't do anything for my hair, even Batiste. Really annoying as my hair is greasy after one day.

BootsAndCatsAndBootsAndCats · 01/01/2018 23:08

I have the same problem Gwen. Would someone mind describing to me how they use it? I keep thinking I'm doing it wrong somehow! Confused

PasstheStarmix · 01/01/2018 23:10

Batiste by far the best one I've tried.

PasstheStarmix · 01/01/2018 23:12

I spray it directly on my roots and rub in with finger tips like shampoo

squoosh · 01/01/2018 23:14

Shake the can
Spray it on roots, along fringe
Leave it for 30 seconds
Tip head upside down and rub it in vigorously

PasstheStarmix · 01/01/2018 23:15

You can brush after with a soft brush and if helps work it in and volumise
