Hot/burning feet at night - please recommend me an amazing cooling foot cream or something!

Am at my wits end after another restless night. Even if my feet have been cold all day, as soon as I get into bed they start to burn up and I can't sleep!

Can anyone recommend a foot gel or cream that works? I've tried aloe vera aftersun gel but it didn't really do much.

Thanks.

Google burning neuropathy. It's a side effect of type 2 diabetes.

See if it sounds familiar. Dhs only recognisable symptom was blurry vision first thing in the morning.

YY to get your GP to do a blood test .
Rule out Diabetes and Pernicious Anaemia , both can cause burning.

Make sure you are drinking enough fluids.

YY to mint based (like Peppermint Balm) creams

Menthol cream!

I get this and am definitely not diabetic (tested recently). However I do have mild Reynaud's, so when my feet get even a little bit cold in the evening, they then recover and overcompensate when I get into bed. For me the answer is to keep my feet warm all the time with really warm boot slippers. It is really annoying when it happens and keeps me awake for ages.

I get this, I'm always cold during the day but my feet always burn at night. Don't think it's diabetes as get tested for it regularly as it's a big thing in our family.

I get this, but only I the summer and only on my heels!
I think it is very dry skin there? Confused

YY to pernicious anaemia - burning feet are a symptom of vitamin B12 deficiency.
Ask GP to measure vit B12 as well as folate [should be supplemented together if there is a need]

do you have chilblains? I got them after getting in the shower after a run with cold feet.

I used to get this horrifically. To the point I wasn’t sleeping, my feet would literally go scarlet. My osteopath solves it for me. For me it came from a nerve compressed in my lower back. I had no other symptoms at all. No pain.nothing. I eventually noticed it was always worse if have an evening nestled on the sofa as my posture goes to pot and I compress the nerve more.
