Recommendations please - under eye concealer and loose powder

I have some Debenhams vouchers to spend and have decided that the items I need most are a really good concealer to cover dark under eye circles and a loose powder that is pretty much invisible and doesn't add any colour. I am 40, fairly pale and have very dry skin (especially at this time of the year). I don't usually buy higher end concealers but can justify it with gift vouchers. Budget is £60. Any ideas to steer me in the right direction please? Smile

Touche Eclat by Yves St Laurent is the one I use. It's very good.

I like Laura Mercier loose powder and Bobbi Brown full coverage under eye concealer, I have dry skin with spots and the loose powder doesn’t cling, you hardly need any and it’s lasting ages for me. The concealer is quick to apply and does a great job, I moisturise using under eye cream first though as it is very full coverage on me.Smile

All the beauty bloggers use Tarte Shape Tape. Nars concealer (its in a tube) is very popular and is very hydrating under the eyes.

Nars creamy concealer-- seems to have very little in the tube

Bobbi brown corrector and concealer

I second laura mercier or bobbi brown translucent powder to set it.

Thanks for your replies so far. Now the Laura Mercier powder has been mentioned, I remember being recommended it when I had my make up done professionally for a wedding. It was lovely but never got around to buying it as I don't have much spare cash and would rather spend on good foundation and primer. The only trouble is, I've just checked and Debenhams don't do Laura Mercier Sad.

I’m allergic to touché eclat which imo looks like tippex anyway.
I’d recommend the clarins one in a tube or nars. Love B.B. but theirs too claggy

I have tried lots of concealers! I would first invest in a really good hydrating eye cream first of all (Bobbi brown or Kiehls avocado one), especially if you have dry skin otherwise any high coverage concealer won’t sit well on your skin.

Nars is good but I find if I put too much on it does crease a lot. Bobbi brown and Mac do good thick creamy ones in pots (that definitely need setting with powder), but my favourite at the moment is the Estée Lauder Doublewear in the tube. High coverage and doesn’t need powder to set (MAC Pro Longwear in the The annoying glass pump is also similar)

What I would also suggest is to use powder sparingly as it can cause cakiness and emphasise any fine lines. Those invisible HD powders are good for setting under eyes but they can cause flashback and give you reverse panda eyes (much like Touché Eclat)

Thanks - I'll be able to sample the Estee Lauder one as there's definitely a counter in my local Debenhams. I think you're right about the eye cream. I really focus on my dry skin on the rest of my face but don't use a specific eye cream. So I probably need to invest in that too! Getting old is expensive Grin

I use the clarins in the tube too (just checked, it’s called Instant concealer) and Clinique loose powder. Just a smidge of the powder and it doesn’t settle into fine lines at all.

Rimmel true match is the best concealer for under eye I have ever used and I have tried all of the high end ones . Touché eclat is so overpriced for the quality and amount of product
