La Roche Possy Lipikar is excellent.

I've found Kiehl's skin rescue pretty miraculous. I had flaky, dry red angry skin last year and was pretty much at the end of my tether, as I'd tried La Roche which worked at first, but within a week I found it a bit too intense. The man in the shop recommended it, and I was really surprised by how it soothed my skin. I use it morning and night now. However, if you're flaky, I wouldn't use an exfoliator - I find it just exacerbates the problem.

Superdrug glycolic avid pads. £3.00 for 60 and they dont stung/irritate and i have dry sensitive skin. Been using for a week twice a day snd my flaky bits have gone. I alo started using No7 youthful pils. Its amazing with Nivea night cream. I use night during the day too.

I think a trip to Boots and Superdrug is in order ! I hadn’t realised my skin was so bad as usually get ready in the morning with light on but seeing skin in natural daylight over the holiday period made me realise how bad it is .

Step away from Clinique!!!!!!!! It's a very drying formula.

TBH anything else will be better. I swear by Kiehls, no7, Liz Earle, estee lauder, simple, loreal, so lots of price points there. If your skin is very sensitive then I've heard last roche posay is good, but I've never tried it.

gingerclementine · 28/12/2017 13:07

Nivea Q10 is really good for dry skin (not sure about flaky skin) as it keeps the skin really elastic without feeling greasy. And it's a very good price.
For flakiness, have you tried the Liz earle hot cloth as it exfoliates gently.
I also tried a Garnier cloth moisture mask yesterday. That was lovely.

I did see Liz Earle had some offers online , I have Boots gift vouchers so it’s ideal if I can look for some of the suggestions in there .

Coconut oil on body, almond oil on face.

I love Avene Recovery Cream and have also just purchased The Ordinary Rosehip oil. At night I use this with the Avene cream on top, touch wood, working well so far.

I have dry itchy skin and have found the best Winter moisturiser is Nivea in the blue pot. For me, it works better than the more expensive moisturisers I've used in the past.

For body exfoliation I use the ocean salt scrub or buffy from Lush or nip fab Glycolic foaming pads on my face.

I have really dry skin due to my Psoriasis and use either Sympathy For The Skin from Lush or this one hydranure.com
