Fitted, unfussy clothes - where do you shop?

If you like simple, clean lines and block colour, but have a body shape that suits fitted clothes (nothing boxy/non-waisted), where do you shop? I don’t mind spending a bit of ££

Jigsaw used to be a firm favourite but this season is determinedly boxy. I have a fair bit of Hobbs but quite a lot is fussy or whacky colours at the moment. I would love to wear COS but it does not love me despite many many hours spent trying on clothes!

I would go vintage (40s/50s) tbh. I have a similar hourglass shape and the quality of fabrics/lines are second to none. Etsy is a good place to start!

Winser?
Fairly classic styles and very well made.I’ve bought a few things this year and have kept most of them.

Comptoir des Cotonniers (largest size!)

Uniqlo is always worth a look. Occasionally Mango, Dorothy Perkins, even H&M if you have time to wade through the dross. Hoping to pick up more ideas here!

Also here to pick up ideas! I don’t buy much for this reason, however when I do it’s mainly in Cos (for dresses and skirts) and Uniqlo (for basics like tops or cardigans). I have bought some John Lewis kin range stuff although it has been variable (some good, some is quite boxy).

Cos do some fitted pieces that are more fitted, and I am a huge fan of some of the more creative necklines they sport - nothing with frills, just the structured / angled stuff.

Have they hired the world's most miserable models? Grin

H&M. Their LOGG range is excellent.

beforeihit30 · 27/12/2017 22:33

Tatter I do find you have to try to interpret what the clothes and their wearers may look like more than in most online stores Grin

laurz75 · 27/12/2017 22:34

H&M have super thick jersey dresses...lovely!

theredjellybean · 27/12/2017 22:37

I wear classic fitted styles... Suits or dresses and fitted jackets for work, good jeans and cashmere sweater at weekend.
I buy mainly hobbs, pure, pink (for shirts) and some carefully chosen boden

hahahaIdontgetit · 28/12/2017 00:18

L. K. Bennett is exactly what you need.

TatterdemalionAspie · 28/12/2017 12:53

beforeihit30 there are actually some nice clothes on there, but the models' postures make everything look like a sack of potatoes. Grin They all look like sulky teenagers who've just been told off!

Oh god, I'm getting old, aren't I... Grin

Toast sometimes has things like this . Gap
? Uniqlo ?

CountFosco · 28/12/2017 21:18

Baukjen? Finery? I've only bought from Isabella Oliver which is a sister company to Baukjen so can't comment on size or quality for either.

bananafish81 · 29/12/2017 00:11

Uniqlo, cos, &otherstories

mysteryfairy · 29/12/2017 00:11

Me and Em, though recent seasons less good than a few season's back. Have some excellent work dresses, maxis and unfussy going out tops.

JaceLancs · 29/12/2017 00:51

Jaeger for me

Goddamitt · 29/12/2017 00:53

Whistles. Their dresses are fantastic, they’re like voodoo and make me look two sizes smaller.
