Best lilac semi permanent colour?

My hair is naturally white/silver, and I fancy colouring it lilac while I'm off work for a couple of weeks.

Any recommendations for a product which will produce a nice result and then wash out without staining my hair or looking weird? I'm put off by some of the reviews!

I've used Loreal casting creme gloss before. It covers well and is supposed to last 28 washes but in reality lasts longer.

Crazy Color comes in various purple shades. IME it last a few washes and fades out evenly. The one they call "lilac" is quite pale, there's also "lavender" (which is more of a lilac colour I reckon) and "violette" which is darker bluish-purple. Mine's currently a mix of the last two :)
If you're buying online, Blue Banana often do offers and deliver quickly.

Purple toners can turn your hair lilac if you leave them on longer.
I use this to get a pinky hue.

Thanks - I've never used Crazy Colour, but lavender sounds great. I'll get some of that toner Cocolepew just to brighten my hair
Scurry, 28 washes will be a long time! Its just for some fun while I don't have to see any customers

If you use Head and Shoulders or TGel it will help to fade any colour.
The Freedom range of toners in Superdrug are good too.

Just be aware if your hair is very white it may leave a stain which you’ll have to grow out

CMOTDibbler · 20/12/2017 18:05

MissSmiley, thats what I'm afraid of. My hair is bra strap length, so I really don't want to have to grow anything out. If it was just a hint of lilac, I'd be fine with that, but green would be a disaster

Definitely stick with the type of toners I linked to it washes out easily.

The Garnier perfect Silver turned out to do exactly what I wanted, and has washed through to leave my hair really nicely silver and white

Definitely try using lilac toners and leaving them on for a long time, I’ve known this work well for lots of people. Should be easier to get out that a dye as well.
