Boots that are so wide they don't hurt my toes?

I have wide feet. I bought a pair of boots from Clark's that are extra extra wide. However the toes from my right foot really hurt when I wear them (the other foot is fine). What can I do? They are leather and cost quite a bit. I've also worn them for a few months and sprayed in them too but they are not budging :(

Try Evans. Not sure if they're only wide got on the calves but might help

*wide fit

Bloody phone.

Mulberrysilk · 11/12/2017 23:29

You could have them stretched. Most shoe repair places would do it for you.

I second getting them stretched at shop.

Magnus do wide fittings

Maybe see an orthopaedist? If you have a bunion, it can be operated (a five week recovery on crutches but then the problem is alleviated for quite some time). You might need especially wide shoes, available in orthopaedist shops. If the ones you have doesn't fit your feet, you could perhaps sell them on ebay (which isn't ideal but better than having sore feet in my opinion).

Clark’s widest fitting is only an E which is only one step higher than a normal fitting. Try Evans or Yours. Also google “EE” and “EEE” fitting shoes, some other ones might come up.

AddALemon · 12/12/2017 07:04

New look also do a wide fit range

I have very wide feet and a corker of a bunion on one foot. I always find Evans and Matalan wide fit quite comfy. Clarks wide fit are a joke.
I also bought a pair of M&S boots recently which were surprisingly comfy.

gassylady · 12/12/2017 07:09

JD Williams are another company that do EEE but often are not leather.

mrsharrison · 12/12/2017 08:21

I order my EEE width shoes and boots from Simply Be online. A lifesaver and not expensive.

Frogletmamma · 12/12/2017 08:23

Doc Martins if you don't mind the look

PickAChew · 12/12/2017 08:27

I'm wide at the toe and only have any luck with camel active, at the moment. Merrel are wide enough, but too wide at the heel. I sent back some promising looking DM softwair boots, last week because they crushed my toes but we're, again, too big at the ankle.

Bloody duck feet.

RubbishMantra · 12/12/2017 08:50

I too am fat of foot, and in my search for shoes that are not from Hotter etc. found that Dune do a wide fit range, also the Castaluna range at La Redoute, the online catalogue.

Do get the ones you already have stretched though, then get some shoe trees/stuff them with paper to prevent them snapping back. I had a pair of brogues stretched at the cobblers last week, and they're a full width fitting wider I'd say.
