Tocuhe Eclat is not working anymore because the circles are that black.

So what else is good?

Will keep an eye on this... I was telling dh @ lunchtime I would love an eye lift or something that will help take the black circles away

Sleep?

Nbg · 20/04/2007 18:46

Yes sleep would be bloody marvellous atm. No chance with a toddler and a 7 month old that hates sleeping.

Do you know what the underlying cause for the black circles is, Nbq. Have you been to the GP about it?

Nbg · 20/04/2007 18:47

No sleep rabble

Dark sunglasses are the only thing that work for me! I've tried Ruby and Millie recently but not impressed - I saw Ruby on TV say yellow based concealer was best but it just makes me look worse.

Nbg · 20/04/2007 18:48

Whats the boing like?
Is it a cream?

Spidermama · 20/04/2007 18:49

Lancome do a good concealer.

AnnabelCaramel · 20/04/2007 18:49

I'm becoming a Benefit bore on here - but they do a concealer called Lemonaid which is very good, and a little kit called Realness of Concealness that is very very good for perking you up. I should be on commission.

granarybeck · 20/04/2007 18:52

There was an article in the Sunday Times mag last week about French women's beauty regimes etc, I'm sure it said they drink Cammomile tea to get rid of dark circles under eyes. It said something about relaxing/or tensing? the muscles. I'll have a look if I've still got a copy, will be on website if not.

Nbg · 20/04/2007 18:53

Right, will check them out.

I've tried that clinique one which has a yellow pen on one end and concelaer on the other but it just made me look bruised

OP posts:
Nbg · 20/04/2007 18:54

Yuck I hate camomile tea.
Would it work if I strained them and put them on my eyes?

I've always thought Clinique was over rated. My skin just doesn't like it. Cold tea bags on the eyes are meant top be good to...and wasn't pile cream in vogue a while back? Personally, I'd rather have black shadows!

southeastastra · 20/04/2007 18:56

cheapy option is the tesco make up concealer which is quite thick (i have loads of dark circles sometimes) think sleep is the one guarantee cure and no alcohol

AnnabelCaramel · 20/04/2007 18:57

OOOh, cross (badly typed) post. Normal cold tea bags ARE meant to be good TOO!

Nbg · 20/04/2007 18:57

lol a pile cream

I know quite a few people who have problems with clinique.

What's that cream called that's adretised in glossy magazines. EVen the ad admits it's expensive, but doesn't say how much.Apparently you can get it in Harvey Nics.

ArcticRoll · 20/04/2007 18:59

I have permanent black bags under my eyes and look exhausted even after 8hrs sleep.
I have discovered Laura Mercier Secret Concealer which I find is much better than Touche Eclat.
It comes in a pot and you apply it with brush.
Space NK sell it.

FlossALump · 20/04/2007 18:59

I like revlon light tough. About £7/8 so a cheap alternative to touche eclait.

Piles cream (Preparation H or similar) is very good, but apparently it thins the skin so isn't a great long-term measure.

FlossALump · 20/04/2007 19:00

got that ok?!

Mhamai · 20/04/2007 19:00

Not sure about the circles aspect but cucumber slices are very refreshing for the eyes too.

AnnabelCaramel · 20/04/2007 19:01

Creme de la mer? More expensive per gramme than coke, diamonds etc? Always gets good reviews, but is about £3million for a thimble full I think.

If you can afford that I guess you don't have many sleepless nights anyway
