What would you wear on a hen night ?

Going to Walthamstow Dogs, having something to eat along with a few bets then going on to Charlie Chans (the nightclub there).

Got no idea what to wear - have been thinking about it loads but always change my mind. Going to London 5th May wedding outfit shopping so hoping to get something for hen then too.

I'm 22, carrying a few extra lbs atm but will be in a size 10 top/12 bottom/10 dress by the time hen comes around.

Go for it .....

Doesn't really matter what we advise, 'cos after about your 9th tipple of choice, you'll think you are a goddess of lurve.

Alternatively, you could go with the pink stetson trimmed in white maribou, in keeping with the occasion?

9th ? Try 2nd .

Nothing tacky I'm afraid, bride has said no tackiness whatsoever.

So it will just be the 'pink ladies' jackets with the black leggings, then?

Don't get something you'll never wear again, but sounds like you've got a good figure.

Not good atm Mateychops but hoping it will have improved enormously by end of May, struggling with motivation to lose baby weight atm.

Come on, I seriously need help !

No choice Cod, it's BIL's fiance and DH doesn't want me to let his side of the family down.

Honestly, I've never been on a hen night in my life, so I'm not the best person to ask. Didn't have one of my own, and missed my sister's 'cos I wasn't in the country. Going to my first in January, but that's at a spa so it's a robe and slippers for me.

Can't because he is attending the wedding of a work colleague which I actually really wanted to go to more than the hen night (Cannot stand one memeber of Bride's family, although like the bride herself)

"Bride has said "no tackiness whatsoever". "

Eh? You're going to Walthamstow Dogs and on to Charlie Chans. That's enough tackiness to last a lifetime.

mateychops · 20/04/2007 13:23

Foghorn, I think you've got more issues about this than the dress code. Why do you have to go on a night out that you don't want to go to, and miss one that dh is going to that you DO want to go to. If you know what I mean?

I'd suggest to dh that you'll blow the wedding pressie money on the dog that looks most like the hare, and make sure your outfit as as tacky as you can manage. Shove a few bacardi breezers in your handbag, and I bet you dh won't let you out the door.

Then swan down the stairs in a fabulous outfit for the wedding that you really want to go to.

FoghornLeghorn · 20/04/2007 13:34

I know I shouldn't have to go and DH isn't entirely the problem. We are living with MIL atm (BIL's mum) so it would case no end of problems if I didn't go and I really don't want to cause major family probs before the wedding.
Plus a joint friend of mine & the brides is doing exactly that but using the excuse that she's ill through pregnancy (she is pregnant btw) and bailing out at the last min.
