and the moral of the story is try on beautiful shoes before wasting time lusting after them!

twentypence · 20/04/2007 02:55

No point looking great if they don't fit properly. I recently sold every pair of boots that I had born because they looked nice/were reduced/was having a bad hair day and bought one pair of comfy boots that won't give me backache and a tension headache after 5 minutes on.

The relief of being old and sensible...

PenelopePitstops · 20/04/2007 03:51

No dont buy crocs you will regret it!

you will also regret uncomfortable shoes when you come to wear them!

earlgrey · 20/04/2007 06:38

MM, can you g'us a link? I'm looking for some nice red shoes!

newgirl · 20/04/2007 15:13

spend the money on a pamper massage instead

maximummummy · 20/04/2007 21:10

earl grey - if i can't have them no-one can [gaving a paddy face]

maximummummy · 20/04/2007 21:13

oh ok
they were ART shoes very chunky soles like a mule style but with a toe-post which was the part that hurt

DimpledThighs · 20/04/2007 21:19

twentypence gave birth to a pair of boots and then sold them!

maximum - i feel your pain re: red shoes.

maximummummy · 20/04/2007 21:23

i keep thinking maybe they'd be ok after a few days flip flops always rub at first a woman in the shop said just cut the toe post off BUT THEY COST - £60 so i couldn't do that

Sixty pounds for flip flops - NO

Even if they were comfy.

ja9 · 21/04/2007 04:04

totally agree with nappyaddict, have learnt to do this thru painful experience... and the principle extends well beyond shoes...

maximummummy · 23/04/2007 23:02

they weren't flip-flops
they were mules with a toe post
and i'm still whinging about them
(mutter)
