purplemonkeydishwasher · 19/04/2007 19:23

hi gscrym -

i saw a salesperson in monsoon holding that today but couldn't find where she got it from so couldn't try it on. not sure it would work with my shape being a bit top heavy and all!!

i tried this on today. it fit so nice. but a bit more than i want to spend!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 19/04/2007 22:14

I'd love something like this but not so expensive.
with some green accessories and the green shoes?

I think the 2nd one would be better for the citizenship ceremony. I also think your DH should buy you the other one as a pressie for when he takes you out for a lovely dinner to celebrate.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 20/04/2007 21:01

i like the way you think!!

Just got the invite for the ceremony. it;s the end of June.
i hope i don't change my mind about the shoes by then!!

just seen this thread. When you say citizenship ceremony - do you mean to become a British citizen? Because I'm having my ceremony next week and I haven't given it a moment's thought. Is it something you're meant to dress up for??? I was planning on wearing whatever child stained thing happened to be readily available - not you've got me worried.

is turning up as a scruff to your citizenship ceremony very disrespectful?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 23/04/2007 14:45

sorry j&j! you can wear whatever you want. I'm just looking for an excuse to buy something new!
they said that dignitaries will be there though so something dressier than pjs i think

i bought this but in dark brown

purplemonkeydishwasher · 23/04/2007 14:45

fryalot · 23/04/2007 14:46

fryalot · 23/04/2007 14:46

oh, ok. Yes, that's nice. I like it.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 23/04/2007 14:48

have to get the ok from DH - not that i need his approval but i need him to tell me if my bum looks big in it (oh i am so cliche!!!)

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 23/04/2007 14:48

it's not as nice as the ted baker one, but only cost £20 so i can buy MORE!!

JoshandJamie · 23/04/2007 15:50

right - shall attempt to dig out something unstained and uncreased. Might buy some union jack knickers.

fryalot · 23/04/2007 15:52

You'll need a very short skirt then, J&J so everyone can see the knickers!

NormaStanleyfletcher · 23/04/2007 17:30

Oh - I have just seem this

V reasonable

NormaStanleyfletcher · 23/04/2007 17:31

seen

not seem

JoshandJamie · 23/04/2007 19:22

I fear that if I wear a short skirt, they might decide not to make me a citizen after all...
