Shall we have a thrilling thread about fringes and whether to have them or not?

I need a new haircut

have long wavy brown hair

and feel extremely fed up and fancy a change

hair is kind of like that woman who is married to Tom Cruise (??)

and I want a longish choppy fringe like Natasha Bedingfield - saw her on tv and it looked fab

I have asked dh and he ran off and looked scared as last time I was in a strop like this I had 8 inches lopped and was in a worse mood so he refuses to advise

so, fringes: yes or no?

Yes definatley. I have a fringe, I was born with one I think!

I love them. Makes you look younger too and hide a miltitude of sins.

Takes regular cutting though. But you could do it yourself.

oliveoil · 18/04/2007 10:42

what sort of fringe?

The hairdresser will advise what will work on you too

DrNortherner · 18/04/2007 10:43

Mine is a full blunt one.

oliveoil · 18/04/2007 10:44

I need to sort my hair out as well over due for a cut, and have thought of a fringe. But not sure. Haven't had a fringe since I was a child!

DrNortherner · 18/04/2007 10:48

I look at so many women and think they so need a fringe. Hate big slapheads!

DrNortherner · 18/04/2007 10:49

lovely full fringe

Ponce · 18/04/2007 11:10

oliveoil · 18/04/2007 11:11

I have big Tefal head

also, atm I tie it back if in a rush in the morning and with a fringe I would have sticky out bits

I am thinking bad idea

DrNortherner · 18/04/2007 11:13

I am in a rush every morning. Fringe neve sticks out.

If it does, run straightners through it.

OP posts:
DrNortherner · 18/04/2007 11:23

Yes I think you can take a fringe. I'd go for fairly long and sweeping

Ponce · 18/04/2007 11:23

sweep it over your ugly face

Sherbert37 · 18/04/2007 11:37

That's the look I'm heading towards, Olive!

oliveoil · 18/04/2007 13:13

what, long fringe to cover ugly face?

have just seen friend who has had her hair all lopped off and she looked fab

OP posts:
Sherbert37 · 18/04/2007 13:33

No! I will be your double in the photo if I carry on with Plan A (but am already getting fed up with gripping it back severely when no one is looking).

ScottishThistle · 18/04/2007 13:37

I agree longer sweeping fringe, reckon a short sharp fringe would make you look like a librarian!

oliveoil · 18/04/2007 13:53

are you saying I look like a frump?

OP posts:
ScottishThistle · 18/04/2007 14:16

Not at all!...Just saying that a short fringe wouldn't do your gorgeousness any justice!
