Need a dress for 'New York' style ball, size 16, can't find anything, please help!

I've been invited to a black tie event in December and the theme is 'New York ball', not really sure what that involves, but looking for a nice, glamorous dress, size 16, with a 34G bust and a bit of a tummy but v slim legs ( Apple shape), so not an easy shape to dress. I'm also an Autumn in terms of my colours so looking for something green, turquoise or gold/bronze. Have looked online but not found anything so far.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be very grateful!

I’m a similar shape to you and this dress looked really good - it’s also quite ‘firm’ for want of a better word so you feel nice and ‘tucked in’ and secure. Also works with a net petticoat underneath to really exaggerate the shape if you want

If you've got time, you could show that Studio 8 photo to a local dressmaker and they could make you one in the colour you want.

I'm not sure these are warm suitable for autumn colouring... but I think they'd suit the party theme and body shape. Both coast.

Went to Bicester Village today for the first time, what a dispiriting experience that was!So much garish overpriced tat. Came home and have ordered this dress on EBay, the colour is nice, it should give me a waist, just hope it covers my boobs...! 😀
