Gentlest facial cleansers around a tenner - not Cetaphil!

Any recommendations gladly received. I currently use Cetaphil but was wondering if there was a better one? I have rosacea and got into a maintenance routine that is ok but am gradually swapping things out (largely due to some advice from the very helpful poster botemp which improved things no end Flowers ) Just looking to tweak my routine really.

Thanks.

Pp mentioned body shop camomile and they do a wash off version which is great for dry skin, camomile cleansing oil. I keep mine in the shower, lovely product. I use it after I have wiped my eye makeup off with simple eye make up remover but the body shop stuff takes make up off too.

Avene completely changes my rosacea probe skin. Their extremely gentle cleaner is excellent.

I use almond oil, although I wipe it off with a flannel so it may not work for you. Makes a decent moisturiser too.

Another vote for Avene who have an anti readiness range or just their sensitive cleansing milk. Have similar skin issues, have worked for many £££ beauty brands with access to huge range of products but always go to Boots to but Avene for myself and DD.

The Bodyshop Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is IMO the absolute best. It melts on contact with your skin and you don't need to scrub at it to remove it.

I tried a sample of Lush Ultrabland as so many Mumsnetters swear by it. It is awful stuff. Thick and claggy - just like spreading lard on my face. And you have to scrub at it with a flannel to remove it. Not great if you have sensitive skin.

Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser can be washed off. It’s incredibly gentle and is my stand by go to when my skin has a meltdown.
Avoid Ultrabland as this won’t wash off, it’s a bugger to get off even with a cloth!

LoniceraJaponica · 05/11/2017 10:49

I ended up having to use soap on face face to remove the Ultrabland. It is really horrible stuff.

LRP as already said. You can rinse it off and it doesn't foam. Cheaper to buy in bulk from here once you know if you like it - 800ml for £19 but they have a smaller bottle too

Thanks for all your replies. There´s a helpful amount of consensus over a few of the products, so I will pick one and start withthat and see how I go.

The LRP one you linked to is the one I’ve got. It’s a bit more expensive but it’s a big bottle which will last for months, as you only need a small amount each time.

If you ever want to splash out a bit, look at Pyunkang Yul range - the Essence Toner is meant to be amazing - as is the rest of the range! I took the plunge and ordered but haven’t received yet.

Another vote for Avene, I rinse it off.
