Anti-perspirant deodorant that WORKS?

I’ve found Mitchum scent-free now smells like BO. I think they must have changed the ingredients.

I don’t like the industrial strength “dry for 37468383 hours” ones you wear at night because a) they itch and b) they don’t feel very good for you.

I prefer sprays because they are dryer than roll-ones.

I also don’t mind the white sticks because they feel quite dry too.

I prefer no smell or a light scent.

I want an antiperspirant.

Any ideas?

I wasn’t offended at the suggestion it’s just that I already use soap.

Thanks for the other suggestions!

hiding you can get it off Amazon.
You have to commit to a pack of 6 though and I’m not ready for that level of commitment yet!

I noticed this in summer, within half an hr of showering and using Mitchum I smelled very musty, not bo but a horrid smell.
I now use soap and been using sure and soft & gentle deodorant. Worked a treat.

I switched from anti persperant to crystal rock deodorant a few years ago and have never looked back. Takes a couple of weeks to clear the back log of nasties from your pores so maybe switch on a holiday somewhere hot. I wash every morning, apply rock and wait for it to dry. Doesn’t stop sweat but sweat doesn’t smell (at all). After years of battling such a relief and far better for you, not backing up toxins in your pores. Good luck whatever you go for.

Thank you! I'd buy a crate if I could get it, off to Amazon then Grin

I was wondering if they had changed the Mitchum roll on too. Doesn’t seem as good. Or maybe it’s just that you need to change every now and then.

Mitchum roll on unscented and wash with cuticura blue soap.

WildRosesGrow · 28/10/2017 14:26

I find the pale pink Mitchum roll on doesn't smell too scented, as I think the 'unscented' one smells weirdly chemical.

I used to alternate with Dove anti-perspirant deodorant cream, but stopped using that a while ago as found it too messy. It was effective though, so could be worth a try.

The Mitchum powder fresh one has an old lady smell to me. The shower fresh one is better. I find it has to have dried before I get dressed to be effective.

WildRosesGrow · 28/10/2017 17:53

Yes definitely need to wait for a few minutes for Mitchum roll on to dry. I put it on then brush my teeth, to give it time to dry, before getting dressed.

I really think deodorant developers should have been able to create a quick dry version that isn’t a spray. We can split an atom.

Which Mitchum product is it that you’ve tried? I use this one and it’s amazing:

Smells nice & literally lasts all day. I have survived 10 hour shifts at work in summer with NO air conditioning and still smelt good at the end. It actually works

CauliflowerSqueeze · 28/10/2017 18:15

Thank you leamington. I will try that.

I had been using this one, which was great up till about 4 or 5 months ago

Can I ask what soap you all use? Dove leaves a sticky residue.
