Sandals without a heelstrap - is it just me or does everyone else have to scrunch up their toes to keep them on?

And is it good for you?
This question has been bugging me for longer than I can say.

Good for you? As in good/bad for your health? Or as is a "yes!!!" kind of way???!

Can't say I really notice myself doing it, but yes, I know that people do scrunch up their toes in order to keep these type of shoes on because a podiatrist said so at an arthritis meeting I attended recently.

sputnik · 12/04/2007 17:51

As in is it good or bad for your podiatric health.

Probably bad. I can't walk in them.

ShinyHappyPeopleEatingEggs · 12/04/2007 18:02

Well it's bad for people with arthritis definitely and I don't suppose it's great for anyone's feet.

But they look nice don't they.. so that's the main thing

sputnik · 12/04/2007 20:32

Thing is I don't like toe posts either. If I reject ones without heelstraps I've excluded myself from 90% of the sandals market haven't I?
Bah, who needs to walk anyway.

Can't do heels either. Especially at the moment as I'm pg and have a tendency to fall over.
It would be so much easier if I could wear boots all summer
