Minimiser bra? Best options

ZooeyAndFranny · 12/10/2017 20:57

I have always been 34b. Well always until 4 pregnancies and four years of breast feeding. I am now a 38c and it feels and looks horrendous.

Any ideas for minimiser brad that will allow me to look like my old self as far as possible?

Have you been measured, and not by m&s?

ZooeyAndFranny · 12/10/2017 21:16

Yes, in John Lewis

How does the 38C feel band and cup wise? And what dress size are you on top?

Bombardier25966 · 12/10/2017 21:23

If your boobs look and feel horrendous that sounds like the bra doesn't fit you. I was a 38GG at my biggest and never felt the need for a minimiser bra, just a well fitting Panache bra.

I'm interested in your clothing size too, it's an indicator of the size you might be.

Have a look at this for an accurate way of measuring yourself.

I would also first check your measurements. But you don't want a minimiser. They just flatten your boobs and squeeze them into your armpits, not an attractive look. You want something with some uplift, a nice padded half-cup bra maybe?

MyLittleDragon · 12/10/2017 21:27

M&s do a full range of minimise bras. I got one at exactly the same stage as you (post babies) and found they made my boobs manageable again (look neat in clothes etc) Smile

I didn't find they squashed my boobs or put them under my armpits Confused They felt properly supported. I found them very comfortable and far more secure than my usual bras.

TittyGolightly · 12/10/2017 21:29

I'm a J (down from a KK when feeding) and is never want a minimiser. My tits would be spread from my navel to my nose!

ZooeyAndFranny · 12/10/2017 21:30

I am size 16 generally.

I was just hoping for something that would bind me down and make me look flatter.

Naive maybe.

You're not that big Zooey, I'd say you're in proportion for a size 16. Does the bra itself feel comfortable, have you tried different style?

Ollivander84 · 12/10/2017 21:37

I would suspect you're not a 38 band. I'm a 16 on top (14 waist) and wear a 32

MyLittleDragon · 12/10/2017 21:39

Zooey - the m&s minimiser bras do exactly that if that's what you want!

Not if she's in the wrong size.

MyLittleDragon · 12/10/2017 22:00

True bombardier Smile but she did say she's been measured.

If she's in the wrong size it'll be that she's a smaller chest band and a correspondingly bigger cup so maybe a 36 D or DD. As a former B cup possibly op feels a bit jiggly as a bigger cup (I did) and wants them securing more, as such.

I didn't want my bigger boobs pushed up and out. I wanted them neat and tidy looking as feeling again. I don't feel comfortable with wobbly bigger boobs in a half cup bra, or having shelf or cleavage - it's just how I am - I just wanted them neater and more contained and the minimiser did exactly that for me.

HaHaHmm · 12/10/2017 23:17

I very much doubt that you’re a 38C. Intervention!!

lizzieoak · 12/10/2017 23:21

Another vote for M & S. I ordered online and they got great and make me look more streamlined. I've got a small frame so the boobage looks out of whack with the rest of me. M & S sorted this.

ZooeyAndFranny · 13/10/2017 16:25

Ok gonna start with MandS

Thanks
