Is there such a thing?? I'm looking for recommendations as my feet are very sore and blistered today from doing a long walk in my Converse yesterday - TIA!

Fitflop are great. I also wear Hotter shoes that are Goretex lined so my feet never get wet - Mist - they are blissfully comfortable and supportive and I also like the fact they are made in the UK.

Wolfiefan · 13/10/2017 18:44

I have Brasher Hillwalker boots. Leather. Comfy.
I would like a pair of country type boots but can't find any to fit!
Want Parcours wellies.
Also need a decent lightweight waterproof bum covering coat.
Best buys this year. Sealskinz hat and gloves. Waterproof. Awesome!

Dubarry Galway boots. Mine are out again for their 5th winter, and get worn daily across muddy fields and the beach from now until march. incredibly warm and long lasting with great grip.

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying · 13/10/2017 18:53

With the amount of rain we've got I'm considering switching my wellies for waders.

I look stylish in my wellies though-it's all in the way you carry that poo in the bag, holding it by the tips of your fingers is bang on trend this year.

My other fashion tips for walking dogs- wear the lead across your body when the dog is off lead, and always make sure there's plenty of cow shit splattered up the back of your wellies.

Wink

Oh sorry, it's S&B.

I went to a farm store a few days ago to get mane silker for my dog (don't ask). I was astonished by how many cool 'dog walking' coats they had and gorgeous boots too. Should have been an obvious place to look but I wasn't aware that they did so much clothing. Reasonable prices too. Worth checking if you have one nearby.

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 13/10/2017 20:20

This is where they have stores www.molecountrystores.co.uk/our-stores

Thebluedog · 13/10/2017 20:23

I have some Clarks boots which I regularly walk 5 miles, mostly fields and bridleways, trouble is they aren't waterproof.

TheScottishPlay · 13/10/2017 20:23

Oh my. Never heard of Ilse Jacobsen. Love them.

CMOTDibbler · 13/10/2017 21:15

I usually wear walking boots, Muck boots, or trainers to walk the dogs, but if we are going to trundle round town with them and then go down to the river wetlands, I wear my Dr Martens as they are comfy, look OK (esp the red patent ones), the mud wipes off and they don't leak

JuneFromBethesda · 13/10/2017 21:37

Watching with interest as I haven't found the right pair yet either. I had a nice pair of Merrells that I wore and abused horribly over the last two years, and one of the zips bust.

SunnyL · 13/10/2017 21:47

I've just binned my Merrels because they weren't waterproof at all. They look good and are comfy but weren't sealed very well.

I've bought some Sorel boots today which have good reviews. We'll see

CantChoose · 13/10/2017 22:56

I wear country boots, I love them. Mine are Dublin something-or-others. Comfy and waterproof, not too ugly!

Wolfiefan · 13/10/2017 23:15

Love Dublin boots but I'm fat of calf and the pup is heavy of foot. I can't wear nubuck etc with a wolfhound. Plus I need to try them on. It'll be wellies again this year!!

niceupthedance · 14/10/2017 06:58

Sorel boots do the job.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 14/10/2017 07:06

Brasher boots and an heartbroken the don't make them anymore.

CrabappleCake · 14/10/2017 07:07

fatbastard what's the sizing like on those boots?

CantChoose · 14/10/2017 08:21

They don’t make Brasher boots any more??Shock I’ve had mine for years. What a shame!

Mol1628 · 14/10/2017 08:23

I wear my doc martens boots. But I really want some muck boots. Probably not stylish though.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 14/10/2017 09:16

They have been bought up by someone else, they aren't called Brasher anymore, I think.

Scabbersley · 14/10/2017 09:18

Aigle wellies with support insoles.

Scabbersley · 14/10/2017 09:19

They are stylish if you don't look very hard Grin

MargotLovedTom1 · 14/10/2017 09:20

Hard to combine style/su

MargotLovedTom1 · 14/10/2017 09:21

Aargh my tablet is really playing up. Long story short: you'll end up in hiking boots Wink.
