Frizzy hair help

Now the weather is changing I am struggling with my super frizzy hair. It is naturally very wavy but only looks nice curly if left to dry naturally which I don't have time for. I wash and condition it, use serum and a heat spray before drying and straightening. What else can I do to try to stop a halo of frizzy around my face in particular. Would hair spray help? Share your wonder products with me.

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream - my hair is wild, I have naturally wiry mixture of waves/curls and wear it both curly and straight. I suffered from exactly the same problem as you with the 'halo' of frizz. Nothing I have ever used before I found this stuff has worked - it's £14 but it's a game changer and lasts. I find the best way to use is a fairly generous 50p sized amount (long hair), rub hands together and work through the lengths & ends. I then take a nice soft paddle brush and gently brush it through all of my hair, so that the roots are getting a little exposure to the product without overdoing it. I will then either blow-dry straight or allow to dry naturally curly - works great both ways. L'Oreal Mythic Oil is also good for relaxing flyaways after straightening - and formula is v concentrated, so only tiniest amount of oil is needed. I would probably use the two in tandem if your hair is really misbehaving. Good luck on the frizz taming mission

Try the curly girl method . You probably have very nice curls if you get it right .

Why can't you leave it to dry naturally? I wash, put TIGI Curls Rock on soaking wet hair, wrap in a towel, get dressed and go. It's dry and frizz-free by the time I reach work.

Silly - you probably have high porosity hair so it dries quickly. Mine is low porosity, it can take 12-15hrs to dry!

Ooh! Yeah, I can see that might be an issue. I thought an hour was bad! Have you looked at second day curl methods. Putting hair in a pineapple or silk scarf etc?

I can get away with 4-5 days without washing but I am curly girl method. Wash day is long but I diffuse to cut down drying time

Also can you wash your hair in the evening? I go to bed with it wet, and wake up curly. I do 2nd day by streaming it over the kettle, been doing it for 30 years and it's still in good condition.

Thank you for your comments. I do indeed have hair that can take all day to dry. No chance of going to sleep with it wet, I wake up looking like Medusa. I am going to hunt the living proof cream down and get some mythic oil. Thank you for your hints.

L'Oreal Mythic Oil is very good (someone on MN recommended that). They do a conditioner too that is very good.
