Do comfortable opaque tights exist?

I've just started a new job and the dress code is smarter than my previous company.

I've been wearing dresses with thick tights but goodness, the tights are killing me... I'm more excited to take them off at the end of the day than my bra, and that's saying something!

Any recommendations of comfortable brands? I'm 5.4 and a size 14. I think the ones I have are M&S.

Thanks :-)

I always wear tights a size too big and find them much more comfortable. If you're wearing M, try L.

What rapunzel says. Always go one size up from what it says on back of box grid. I like the Asda Bodysculpt tights best.

M&S opaques 40 denier are brilliant. And yes, I size up.

I swear by these,I bulk them every other year as they wash so well and hold their shape they last ages (for tights) www.uktights.com/product/114/charnos-opaque-60-denier-thick-tights

Yes to sizing up! I find the Boots ones more comfortable than M&S.

I like the John Lewis fleece opaques (150 denier). They're as opaque as leggings and seem to stretch endlessly in all directions. They don't seem to be in Waitrose yet (I look for them every year!) but they may be on the JL website.

If you can afford it, het Wolford tights. You won’t look back.

Otherwise M&S like others have said.

Thanks, I’ll definitely try the sizing up suggestion!!

And those fleece ones sound lovely and cosy :-)
