Reasonably priced yet stylish workwear?

Back to work in two weeks after maternity leave. I need to get some new work threads but am still existing on quite a modest budget.

Can anyone suggest where I can get a few nice pieces to build my work wardrobe. I work in an office and need to look smart but it's not too formal.

Thanks

Uniqlo is superb for great value work wear

Uniqlo
I love it for work, lots of simple mix and match pieces, wash well, minimal ironing

I have never heard of Uniqlo so will check it out. Thanks so much!

What do you tend to wear? If dresses roman originals is good for classics. If you are slim primark do lots of basic body con dresses (i say this as I'm a size 20 and theyd look awful on me)

Zara is amazing for on trend items or basic classics

H+M-though watch the sizing!

Uniqlo and Boden sale stuff but I go for plain/more classic prints e.g. spots/stripes rather than ditsy florals Confused

EBay- I got 10+ work dresses, mostly shift dresses, for around £50 from Wallis, next, DP, m&s etc. Takes a bit of searching sometimes and you need an area of what you wanted.

I got 10+ so I’d have enough to last cpl of weeks so I wouldn’t have to iron every week, could do it every fortnight.

Boden have quite a good sale at the moment. When I went back to work after my first maternity leave I got 5 or 6 dresses from their sale. Dresses are good as you don't have to find bits that go. I also kept a spare in a drawer at work in case I had missed a yoghurty hand print somewhere...

Tu from Sainsburys. Not all of it is suitable, but they regularly have decent stuff for work. Almost all easy to wash and dry too.

I'd look in the warehouse and oasis sales.

Depends on what you call stylish!
I buy boden mainly for work, with a few asos bits to fill in the gaps.
I work in a school, Boden covers all bases - long fitting tops so nothing rides up, high neckline so no cleavage, pockets for practicality, length choice which is perfect as I'm tall and things often aren't long enough to protect my modesty!
I always look smart and despite what I hear other people on here complain about, everything washes well and doesn't shrink.
I also have 2 lovely pairs of black skinny jean type trousers from Ted baker which, although initially were quite pricey, they've been going strong since early last year being worn and washed weekly - still black, no fading or going baggy. Price per wear must surely be pennies by now.
