There's lots I haven't tried and I want to see what people rate Smile

How can I forget my beloved Marc Jacobs lipsticks. I have 5 and I adore them, 5 may not sound a lot but they are £££!

ReallyConvolutedCareerHistory · 01/10/2017 00:17

Hourglass ambient powder and The Face Shop eyebrow pencil.

AnnabelleLecter · 01/10/2017 00:19

Barry M and MUA and Real Techniques brushes because I try to buy cruelty free, not tested on animals.

BradleyPooper · 01/10/2017 01:15

Laura Geller for soft baked eyeshadow, completely foolproof and easy to apply, and Fenty by Rhianna for foundation that makes me look totally airbrushed...

Lottapianos · 01/10/2017 08:42

Buster, are the Marc Jacobs lippies really worth the money? I have spent £££ on lipsticks in the past and been bitterly disappointed (looking at you YSL)

Shockers · 01/10/2017 08:46

Dr Hauschka.

BusterGonad · 01/10/2017 08:52

Lotta imo yes, but it really depends what you are after in a lipstick? For me I want a strong pigment and colour, a soft suede finish and no shimmer but what I want the most is a striking colour. They last reasonably well but they are not super long lasting so if you eat you will want to touch up.

Aderyn17 · 01/10/2017 09:13

Rimmel for eye shadow - I find a lot of other brands are chalky/flaky and crumble all over my face the box.

For lipstick M&S are fab - really creamy and as good as Mac imo.

Mascara Chanel le volume or Lancome hypnose - both gorgeous.

Bobbi brown
Dior
Chanel
Laura Mercier
Charlotte tilbury
Nars
Chantecaille

Thanks Buster, they sound lovely

I spent £27 on a YSL lipstick recently which was one of the worst lipsticks I've ever used. The colour was stunning and looked great for the first hour or two, but then went horribly dry, showed up every flake and line on my lips and the colour seemed to 'separate' and turn hideous. It was shocking. I have £8 lipsticks from Maybelline and Revlon which are a dream in every way so I'm a bit reluctant to spend big again Smile

BusterGonad · 01/10/2017 11:00

Lotta I don't find them drying, they take a bit of effort to get on, meaning I use a lip brush and liner, they don't flake but do wear in the centre of your lips through out the day, I don't mind reapplying as I'd rather that then have dry flakey lips that you get with do called long lasting lipstick. The only long lasting lipstick I wear is Bourjois rouge velvet fluid lipstick. If I were you I'd google reviews of the Marc Jacobs. I personally love them and I adore the cases too!

BusterGonad · 01/10/2017 11:07

Oh and they are not mat, more of a velvet, satin finish.

BubbleAnimal · 01/10/2017 11:10

Maxfactor. I get some bits cheaper sometimes from Rimmel, but maxfactor has everything and it's great quality.

Longislandicetee · 01/10/2017 11:17

Oh I didn't realise you could buy Tarte in the UK! Thank you for this thread OPFlowers Their lip gloss is amazing.

I use a mixture of Nars, MAC and Tarte

Primers - MAC
Foundation - Nars (it used to be MAC for about a decade)
Eye shadow and blusher - you can't beat MAC
Lip gloss -Tarte
Lip pencil - Nars pencil is fabulous
Eyeliner - Nars long wear
Mascara - anything. Never found one that wowed me!

bananafish81 · 01/10/2017 11:42

If I had to pick only one brand, it would be NARS

Front runners also include Bobbi Brown and Lancome foundation

niceupthedance · 01/10/2017 11:46

Urban Decay followed by Nars.

BusterGonad · 01/10/2017 12:02

I think if I could only ever buy one brand again it would either be Bourjois or Benefit, purely because they have a vast range of products, they all work well and they have a great choice of colours and textures. Also they are both quirky brands which hold my interest.

TealStar · 01/10/2017 12:07

Armani for foundation (and face atelier but they seem to have stopped selling it Sad)
Urban Decay and Huda for eye shadow
Anastasia BH for glow kit and eyebrows
Dior for mascara
Bobby Brown for Pot Rouge
YSL for touché Eclait

I used to wear a lot of Laura Mercia; the foundations are fab.

Cocolepew · 01/10/2017 12:13

I always go back to Max Factor, their foundations are the best.

Annabelle4 · 01/10/2017 12:13

I wear the following every day (most were Christmas presents last year) and they're all fantastic. Can't believe I used to spend so much on what I assumed were better products (Mac, Christian Dior, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, etc)

Rimmel foundation & mascara
L'Oréal nudes eyeshadow palette
Ted baker blusher, bronzer, highlighter
Inglot lipstick (stays on all day)
