Are they any good? Does your hair keep coming out of it? I’ve got shoulder length hair and use Boots elastic bands atm. Always get that ridge halfway down my hair when I let it down.

Anyone?

Kiwi that’s why I’m wondering. My hairdresser recently said Inhad a lot of new growth on one side of my head. Either that, or snapping off of hair? I told her my hair lives much of the time in a pony/loose up do. But, I just do it with covered elastic bands.

Would the real ones help do you think? I love tying my hair back. Very practical. Had short short hair for years so, I like having hair around my face now iykwim. But, it can’t be split or unhealthy.

Kiwi which do you use?

Suki my hairdresser has said that too. The back part of my hair is quite damaged and tends to snap especially on one side. I think it is helping for me as my old hair bobbles had lots of broken off hair on them whereas my hair is not tangling in these ones (my hair is fine). I also find I can tie it more loosely and it holds whereas I had to tie tighter with bobbles.

I got the invisibobble original that you put a picture of above, from Amazon.

burninghigh · 28/09/2017 11:56

They are brilliant. Your hair doesn't get knotted in them.

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 28/09/2017 12:00

They make really nice fiddle toys!

rubybleu · 28/09/2017 12:02

I have baby fine hair and normal hair ties slip out, both the fabric and flat elastic kind. Invisibobbles keep my ponytail intact all day, even in gym classes - they are fantastic for me in that respect. Sadly they do kink my hair.

RubbishMantra · 28/09/2017 13:02

I was underwhelmed by them. And they do leave a kink. On the other hand, my cat loves playing fetch with them.

SukiTheDog · 28/09/2017 19:55

😊 my dog would eat them, I found her stash today of bits and bobs behind her bed.... several conkers, peas (dried up) , a bit of shoelace, some dried penne pasta ...... and hair elastics.

Naughty girl

Some are stronger than others but they stretch over time so by the ones from primark, good price and strong

Unicorn81 · 28/09/2017 21:54

Suki your dog is fab!

FeralBeryl · 28/09/2017 21:57

Oh lol at that beautiful little face Smile as if that poor innocent puppy would be naughty!

My opinion on the bobbles - shite. I was really looking forwards to having a kink free wig but alas, as bad as normal bobbles.

SukiTheDog · 29/09/2017 07:48

A very mixed opinion on the bobbles, then!

Will give them a try in terms of being gentle on the hair.

Thanks all 😊

Not that fussed for them. They also stretch which means you have to coil them round more and then they look bulky on finer hair.

ritataka · 29/09/2017 12:42

I don't like them, they don't have enough hold for my hair. I like my ponytails really secure and tight as I do a lot of sport and dance.

MrsDoylesTeabags · 29/09/2017 12:48

If you put them in a cup of just booked water they'll shrink back down to size

MrsDoylesTeabags · 29/09/2017 12:54

Boiled not booked

allinclusive · 29/09/2017 13:56

Primark do the coiled fabric ones which are fab, 6 for £1m. You can put them in a sock in the wash and they come out restrung too. They were a game changer for me.

allinclusive · 29/09/2017 13:56

Sorry £1!

SukiTheDog · 11/10/2017 19:11

Got some. Like them as they don’t feel as though they’re pulling when my hairs in an “almost pulled through” loose pony iykwim. Hoping they’ll be more gentle in my hair which I really like off my face, most of the time.

Oh, got some in Boots. Then today, some from Home Bargains. Tbh, I cannot tell the difference 🙂

Love them, I have fine thinning hair and I run a lot. My hair was breaking where it was tied up to run. I now use these and it holds my hair in place perfectly on a long sweaty run doesn't tangle and doesn't make it break. My hair sees to be thickening back up a little now the elastic isn't breaking it.

SukiTheDog · 11/10/2017 21:46

I’ve binned all elastic. Because my hair’s tied back so much I feel the need to be as gentle as possible with it.

Housewife2010 · 11/10/2017 22:14

The actual invisabobbles are fantastic. I've used them in my long thick hair for a couple of years and they never wear out. They are very comfortable to wear and I wouldn't use anything else.

SukiTheDog · 12/10/2017 07:41

Housewife I may try the “original Brand” just to make a comparison 😊

Some are very stretchy. My 3yo managed to put one round his neck by pulling it over his head Shock I now keep them well out of his reach.

SukiTheDog · 12/10/2017 10:29

Martin 😳
