Voluma and botox on same day? Expreiences, advice please.

Hi I am booked for Voluma cheek filler 2cc and botox on the same day and wondering if anyone else has had this done?

I have had botox a few years ago but never filler. Is a very reputable dr who has recommended this procedure.

What is the recovery time for filler. Is it better to get the two done separately? I'm very nervous but have liked effect of botox in past, although more once it has mostly worn off and softened lines rather than the lack of movement which I don't like. Any experiences welcome.

I only have Botox so can't help much but didn't want to leave you hanging. Presumably they will be on different areas so I am sure it will be fine.

I was told they should be done separately. I suspect it doesn't make a massive difference though

Recovery time - I'm always pessimistic and say swelling 4 - 7 days, apply ice. Could bruise as with anything needle based, depends individual average 7 - 10 days, apply arnica gel.
In reality first night after procedure feels tender and sore then fine. For cheek filler Radiesse Plus better than hyaluronic acid in my opinion especially since semi permanent and less "pillow puffy face". But practitioners all have differing views hope I've not muddied the waters! Just what I do

I've had both done at the same time without a problem. Botox in my frown lines and forehead and filler in my cheeks. Two different drugs/products so don't see any potential problems there. I've been injected by both a GP and very experienced nurse.

Hi thanks for all the replies. I go tomorrow. I am more nervous of the wait after botox as often wonky results and always need to go back. I have only been to doctors hareley st based and still problematic. I am going to a new doc who gets rave reviews and has recommended both but none in forehead just between brows and crowsfeet and small amount of filler. Still I have time for adjustments before Christmas - I always like botox afer it has worn off a bit maybe month 4 and I have never had fillers so bit nervous there too.

Also did anyone who had cheek filler bruise or was it just swelling? Thanks

Always has the potential to bruise but more likely bruising around eye / mouth area as more vascular
The first night turn over in your sleep and you can be aware of tenderness
Great treatment to have, subtle yet addresses angle changes and malar fat deposits lost through ageing
