Help me find a foundation!

Please help Smile

I bought the Revlon Colourstay one but it's just not pale enough Sad

I'm deathly pale but would like a full coverage foundation. I looked at Nars but they have tax when you go to pay so it's £41 instead of £34 Shock What foundation would you recommend for a very very pale person who wants full coverage?Smile

If you still want Nars, it is available on ASOS without any extra costs (free delivery over £20).

Here is the foundation range

It's a much cheaper price bracket than Nars - but GOSH do foundation for pale people! They have a newish one out which is very full coverage.

RenardeRenarde · 13/09/2017 12:23

Fellow very pale person :) GOSH is a good shout, the foundation drops can be built to a very good coverage with a beauty blender, 002 is their lightest shade and is very pale. Their Foundation+ is super high coverage but the 002 is darker and warmer than in the drops so do test before you buy.
The lightest shade of their xceptional wear is lighter than either of the others confusingly, personally I think it leans cooler too (again good coverage).
I'm using L'Oréal true match ATM, very good shade range right down to super pale; I only find it works using a beauty blender for me, looks horrendous using a brush, but that might be my skin.

I have used NARS before (Siberia for me) but found it quite drying. I'm not sure I'll ever find a holy grail foundation but it IS getting easier to find very pale shades.

GremlinGreen · 13/09/2017 14:04

I think Illamasqua also go to very pale shades. I think they also do a white foundation which can be used to lighten up darker shades, if you can't find one pale enough anywhere!

Thanks for all the help

@GremlinGreen I have the Illamasqua rich liquid foundation, which is the right colour but ever so cakey; cakes 20 minutes after going on and looks awful Sad

I absolutely love Lancôme Teint Miracle. I'm fairly pale skinned and it works really well for me. I tend to use quite a light covering rather than slapping it on so a .c£30 bottle lasts forever.

I second Lancôme - but I have the tent idole foundation. Ask an advisor to match your colour.. they then give you a sample to take home and use for a week or so to see what you think! She gave me a sample but I had bought a bottle at the same time and she said to use the sample first in case I didn't like it and I could exchange the unopened bottle. It smells lovely too!

I have tried most things and have. Veritable graveyard of Chanel, Bobbi brown etc. I really like Aldi cc cream. I am pale and it is perfect

GremlinGreen · 14/09/2017 17:48

Oh that is a shame about the Illamasqua foundation - I think their skin base foundation is much more popular than the rich liquid one, so probably more wearable. If you have a store near you that stocks it they will probably apply it on you to try out.

Another vote for Lancôme teint idole ultra here. Lovely texture and coverage without being heavy.

I always use the palest foundation there is normally and my all time favourite is touche eclat le teint, you can use this in a shade darker than your usual anaemic ghost and it looks fab. I get loads of compliments when I'm wearing it and I'm 55!
