Didn't know If I should post here or in the ethical section but here goes.

Could you all tell me where to find the best natural, plastic free products please? Skin care, bath and shower etc. I buy from lush at the moment but looking for alternatives.

Thank you

Shampoo I get from the health food shop, I can get refills of Faith in Nature, they also do conditioner and shower gel.

I don't use shower gel anyway, just bar soap. I also use a bamboo toothbrush which can be composted.

Make my own toothpaste and deodorant... check out zero waste youtubers and bloggers like Bea Johnson and Lauren Singer for lots of tips and recipes for making personal care stuff.

If you can get some oats and bentonite clay powder from a bulk store you could make this face cleanser. herbalismroots.com/oatmeal-chamomile-facial-cleanser/

Heard about a zero plastic company called Monomeer via a youtuber yesterday, but their website is all German.

I've also cut back on the number of products I buy, for example just use water for face washing.

I buy soap from Holland and Barrett. It is very gentle and I can use it on my face. I don't use shower gel as I prefer soap anyway, and I'm replacing all the liquid soap in the house as it gets used up with bars of soap. I can't avoid some plastic bottle like washing up liquid etc, but I do what I can.

For OTC stuff I think Lush are your best bet. DD likes their solid shampoo.

Thank you. Yes I currently use the solid shampoo and conditioner and I use lush products where the packaging can be reused. I'm looking forward to their new naked product line but not looking forward to the prices Shock
