Stupidly expensive Kerastase deep conditioner has turned me into Captain Caveman...

Seriously, I'm a frizz monster.

I have fairly fine hair (but LOTS of it) prone to dryness and frizz. Had been doing well with a Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner but I do have some damaged bits of hair where I shove it in a clip all the time, plus I'm always on the look-out for something deep-moisturizing, so I shelled out over 30 blooming quid on a Kerastase 'masque' treatment, the kind you leave in 5 mins then rinse out.

Worse than a waste of money. I am a frizz-ball and my hair looks so dry it has added five years to my appearance (imo)

I will obv go back to my trusty Paul Mitchell leave-in but I have heard good things (on here) about Aveda Damage Remedy... loathe to shell out a fortune again for something that makes me look and feel shit but happy to cough up for something that will enrich my hair, deal with the damaged bits and calm my frizz.

Any fans?

I have fine hair but never found the Masquintense for fine hair any good. I spent years arguing with hairdressers that the version for thick hair actually worked better and that the Lait Vital conditioner just did nothing for me.

The L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Ultra Riche Masque works better for me for a fraction of the price.

Thanks accidental. Much appreciated and will check out that Masque.

Done a bit more of a search and it seems I should be avoiding silicone...?

Also does blow-drying make frizzy hair worse in the long run? Happy to let my hair go wavy so should I just be washing/conditioning it and letting it dry naturally?

I love kerastase, the one for thick hair is amazing....just can't afford it anymore. Why don't you try coconut oil, leave in overnight and wash out in morning. I've heard very good results ensue!

OOoh thanks walking dead, cocnut oil is dead cheap so that's certainly worth a try

You may like the L'Oreal Professionnel Nutrifier range if you want to avoid silicones. I've tried the masque a few times since they discontinued my all time favourite Intense Repair one. It is moisturising, but I find I really need some silicones to detangle my hair so am not sure if I will repurchase.

If you find it works for you Amazon sell 500ml pots for about £12.

Maybe try apricot kernel oil or avocado oil? I have lots of fine frizzy hair too and you can get bottles of these for about £6 on amazon x
