Crap application.

I've had mine for nearly 7 weeks and they aren't lifting.

Are they glue-ons?? If not, definitely find a better nail place. I have to soak mine and fecking pry them off with a crowbar to remove them.

They are acrylics ... what should I tell her that they keep lifting can u do something different cause what she's doing is all she knows right?

Go somewhere else! There's no way they should be lifting at all.

I have the same problem and it's to do with my nails rather than poor application. You know how nail polish doesn't stay on kid's nails? It's because kid's nails are naturally oily, and this becomes less as you age. My nails haven't grown up with the rest of me. I find shellac stays better than acrylics or true gels.

Mine kept lifting too. Nail tech let me down so I had to go somewhere else and could immediately tell the difference. Had these on for 4 weeks now and not even had a chip never mind a lift. So I'd agree with the others, it's in the application. Go somewhere else.

Do they file the tops of your nails and have you wash you hands w soap and dry them before application?

itsbetterthanabox · 10/09/2017 20:11

It's usually down to poor prep of the nail. They need to getting every bit of cuticle that grows on the nail plate removed, the nail plate etched but not too harshly and a good dehydrator and prime. Do they do this? Also if your nails are too long or unbalanced they lift earlier.
It can also be aftercare- do you wear gloves to clean and wash up?

princessachica · 11/09/2017 15:18

I use gloves to wash up ! And oil my cuticles aswell but i think I should tell her to not lift my cuticles because maybe the primer isn't going in evenly?

What do you mean lift your cuticles? They should be clearing the nail plate itself of all the cuticle. It thinly grows up all the nails you usually can't see it until it's removed with a cuticle tool- a pusher and cuticle knife. It's basically extremely thin skin on the nail we all have that needs removal as product can't adhere to it.
