Best place for bras for teens?

Dd's had a bit of a growth spurt and suddenly has boobs. We went to get her properly fitted at Peter Jones and it turns out she's a 30D (on the tightest hooks).

We picked up a couple of bras in the shop but there wasn't much choice in her size. She really needs a black one as well but we're struggling to find something. It needs to be non wired, not too lacy and not frumpy. A lot of ranges seem only to start at 32 and the teen ranges stop at a C cup.

Any pointers gratefully received

Depending on the make and model of that 30D, her true size is likely to be 28DD or E.
Very few bras exist in that size without wires although Boux Avenue do this bralet. Freya Deco non wired is quite cleavagey on most people.
Don't write off wired completely, the reasons to avoid rarely apply and age definitely isn't one. Freya Idol and even Muse are often age appropriate in terms of coverage.

Have you looked at m&s Angel range some are underwired and some are not but they do the size you need they go up to a DD.

Not sure on sizing but we have found Primark surprisingly good, and a big range of wearable styles and basic colours for teens.

Thanks for the suggestions

@marriednotdead I'm confused! Why would she not be 30D? She doesn't look particularly big (I was surprised she was a D). And the bra fitter was adamant that she shouldn't have underwired bras while she's growing

My dd is 16 and a 30D too. She wears the "non-wired t shirt bra" from John Lewis. Comes in white, black, nude, pink and denimy blue. Not hugely exciting but fits really well. She bought a pretty one from Victoria Secret because the lady convinced her that she could wear 32C instead (didn't have any styles in a 30) but it isn't comfortable and so she never wears it.

OP - because bras should be on the loosest hooks to start with. So if she is wearing a 30 on the tightest, she is better with a 28 on the loosest and therefore if you drop a back size, you need to go up a cup size

We had ours done at Rigby and Peller - 32D. I would never have guessed. Apparently, the cup size is not just about the size the breast but the shape, distance between them etc.

The fitter there was very clear that it's not wired vs non-wired but the right fit. They had a huge choice in wired, little in non-wired. We tried about 15 models and picked up 2 - one wired, one (on my insistence!) non-wired. DD won't wear the latter but loves her wired one and it's super comfortable. Not digging in or constraining at all. The fitter said you need to check once every 6 months to make sure that the size is still right and if fitted correctly won't affect growth/tissue.

They are expensive though!

We also got one at John Lewis - non-wired (Wacoal, I think it's a Japanese firm) which DD will wear but only occasionally.

Try Bravissimo

30D is not that big really. It's just that people's concepts of bra sizes don't match up to the sizing. There is no standard d size you can take as the default. I wear a 28f (or should - they are hard to find!) but previously I'd be in a 32c I think.

You would get away with the penneys bras etc, but a specialist bra shop may be the way to go.
