Just that really, if anyone has bought bras from Primark & would you recommend?

I'm currently wearing my comfiest bra, which is from Primark. It's a soft sports bra style (I'm small of nork), so I can't speak for the more structured style.

I'm currently my wearing a 38 F - although I'm not entirely convinced it's a correct fit - I've just bought a couple of bras from M&S size 38 D, which seemed to fit like a dream when I tried them on in store, however when I tried them at home, the back began annoying me, no matter how I adjusted the straps - so I'm returning them hence my question about Primark Bras. I may get a fitting done while I return my bras at least then I'll have an idea of my correct size!!

M&s are shocking for measuring ! According to them I'm a 32B ... cue uncomfortable cup spillage because I'm actually a 28DD.

Primary bras are fine, they're not good, they will break and they sometimes creak and they don't do large sizes ... but they can be ok for a while

StickyFingersLou · 04/09/2017 12:05

Sports bra-type ones are completely fine.

The more structured ones with cups and wire are okay. They lose shape after a while and the material frays a bit at the edges but for the price, they last for a few months.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 04/09/2017 12:06

They're fine, but they don't stock much at all below a 34 back do I can't get bras there. It's annoying because lots of women are a 32.
Just be aware some M&S staff still do the adding 4 inches to your back size thing, which is almost inevitably going to result in badly fitting bras. Try measuring yourself - there are loads of guides online.

I don't think the straps are thick enough for us larger ladies (36c in M&S)

demirose87 · 04/09/2017 17:45

They are not very good from my own experience. They look pretty but dont offer much support at all, also I find it hard to find my size there, most of the styles only go up to a C or D and I'm an F. They are all either too big or small with the strap riding up at the back so I dont think they are correct sizes either.

photographyaddict · 04/09/2017 17:50

They don't go up to my size Sad

Mrstumbletap · 04/09/2017 17:57

I think they are good, I have loads.

Greenteandchives · 04/09/2017 18:00

I have one I keep for holidays. It cost £2.00. It's comfortable enough.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 04/09/2017 18:08

You need to know your correct size for a start. M&S are notorious for incorrectly measuring and fitting bras!

Have a look at the bra intervention threads on style and beauty for a guide on how to measure yourself.

I have a few and they are a bit rubbish after a while. I much prefer Matalan bras. God 4 for £10 in a sale. Lovely fit and colours

Shadow01 · 04/09/2017 19:03

I'm a 32f and have got a few primark bras. They're ok but not massively supportive.
I'm a big fan of Matalan bras, pretty and supportive and they don't cost a fortune.

MistyMinge · 04/09/2017 19:32

I've never found them very uncomfortable. They also come up small.

youvegottobekidding · 05/09/2017 10:52

Thanks for the replies. I didn't get to Primark so I swapped them for a more softer type in M&S & they seem better, I suppose it's a case of getting use to them, a bit like new shoes!
