I need someone to dress me up - skin issues

I've an almost two year old and a wedding to go to next year (!) - in case it's not obvious I have no social life any more so am already thinking about what the hell I'm going to wear. First chance since dd came along to actually dress up a bit Grin

So my main problem is this - I have psoriasis. Bare arms and legs are a complete no no. Even if I could fake tan or use a cover make up I'd be leaving body dandruff everywhere Sad it's a spring wedding so I don't think I'm going to be able to break out the black 1000 denier tights..

I'm a bit dumpy since the kid but plan on trying to tone up a bit and am currently a 12/14 and about 5'7.

No idea where to even start and would really appreciate some inspiration.

These trousers with

This top and a beautiful pair of high heeled sandals...or flats...both would look lovely.

I really like those trousers, I did wonder whether fancy trousers were the way to go.

I'm okay with finding either a bottom or top with good coverage but always feel I'm wandering into frumpy territory when I try to team them together. I've a horrible feeling it's just what I'm stuck with and need to embrace the frumpiness!

Before dd I used to mix tight and floaty to replace bare arms/legs but she's really done a number on my arse and stomach Grin

How about a jumpsuit & nice light blazer jacket?

Something like this could work?

That's a nice jumpsuit Hippa OP is the psoriasis on your elbows?

The reason I chose a long sleeved top is the covering of your elbows...my sister has the same condition and her worst areas are elbows and knees.

I don't think the trousers I found would be frumpy because they're fitted...especially with heels.

I second a jumpsuit. And also maybe some shape wear if you're worried about waist/arse? Spanx are always great for a special occasion (and if you don't want VPL) www.thehouseoffoxy.com/product/40s-style-veronica-jumpsuit-red

Plus a cropped jacket?

A jumpsuit and bolero type jacket with scaffolding underwear is looking very promising! Finally inspiration!

Thanks guys FlowersSmile

My psoriasis covers pretty much all my joints plus some delightful scattered patches inbetween (as well as scalp Confused) I can just about brazen out my feet/ankles/fingers/hands and hair but the rest is just a step too far for me. Steroids have never done much for it and I'm not keen on stronger treatments since I haven't ruled out attempting to conceive again and need all the help I can get to do that. I think methotrexate has been updated as safe during pregnancy/breastfeeding but I'm not really comfortable with it tbh.

Anyway, I really appreciate the kickstart to finding a decent outfit!
