i agree lostinfrance. with yesterdays makeup, dog breath and the dragged through a hedge backwards look.

fishie · 02/04/2007 20:34

cazzybaps of course you and your daughter are lovely in the skirts. i however am not good in pleats and what i really want is the bottom of that dress [sulk]

Bucketsofdynomite · 02/04/2007 21:13

I vote for Doggiesaywoof's Boden one but £79 is a little over my limit, even for weddings.

MrsDoolittle · 02/04/2007 21:19

I like it too.
But what sort of figure do you have to look good in it?

I'm sure I would buy it and be most disappointed when I tried it on because it wouldn't look half as good as it did on the model.

Bucketsofdynomite · 02/04/2007 21:41

Hmm, relatively flat stomach I think and C-D cup bust.

elasticbandstand · 02/04/2007 21:48

i would look terrible

brimfull · 02/04/2007 22:06

tmi! am off to get dressed

aol · 03/04/2007 09:00

I have that polo dress (from a couple of years ago) in navy. Had forgotten all about it. I don't have the belt.

MrsDoolittle · 03/04/2007 09:07

What is the quality like for Esprit?

I remember buying their stuff years ago in Australia, but I can't remember what it was like

aol · 03/04/2007 09:17

I like esprit. Their stuff doesnt tend to date and they wash and wear well. I have two or three dresses and some jumpers and tee shirts of theirs that are still going strong after a couple of years wear. I buy one or two bits every season - but funnily enough tend to find them in boutiques that stock esprit, rather than the esprit shop itself where I never seem to find anything I like. I don't think their shape and sizing tend to work for the chunkier woman though. They definitely have a morphology in mind when they design their clothes.

fishie · 03/04/2007 09:20

i got an arm badly stuck trying on a dress in esprit, there was a nasty ripping sound.

(this was a long time ago when i was skinny of arm although they are still fairly ok)

MrsDoolittle · 03/04/2007 09:25

That's what I thought. I was slimmer, all those years ago.
French connection has always been too slim fitting for me, isn't Esprit the same?

I have a very generous hour glass figure, although ones norks appear to be shrinking after children.

Leoness · 03/04/2007 09:31

this one won't crease
