Eye cream for a desperate lady

I've recently ran out of my eye cream and feel it's time to try something else
I'm in my early forties, got dehydration lines, dark circles and crepey above the eye
I'm looking for something to rehydrate, firm, plump the skin
Does anyone have any recommendations
I've been looking but I'm struggling with everything that's on offer 🌸🌸

I like boots time delay eye cream.

The Olay one with a small silver lid? Ultimate eye cream...Smile
I like it.

withlotsoflove · 30/08/2017 07:10

Sorry - posted too soon. l'm nearly 46 and have found it seems to help with all the typical issues at this age.
Slightly tinted too..

Bluesheep8 · 30/08/2017 07:18

Hi MissMiss, I've used an Avon one for years, it's in a split pot with cream for below and gel for above the eye, it's really hydrating and the gel for the eyelid up to the brow is cooling and firming-I think it's called ultimate lifting-I'd recommend this

MissMiss1 · 30/08/2017 16:13

Thank you ladies
Are any of these not tested on animals?
Thinking it's time to start changing my skincare to those that aren't tested on animals, it makes me feel bad when I think about it 😢

I use Superdrug's cheapest own brand eye cream. I'm really not convinced fancy ones are any more beneficial as you only apply a little bit anyway. All of Superdrug's own brand stuff is cruelty free i.e. not tested on animals.

I'm trying Transformulas eye cream and loving it. Really soothing and light and does seem to be making a difference.

slinkysaluki · 31/08/2017 06:32

Avon eye cream is very good, a cream for the under eye area and a gel for the top lid which does tighten and smooth, it's a tenner I think so worth trying.

slinkysaluki · 31/08/2017 06:33

Sorry Bluesheep didn't read full thread you beat me to it !

Bluesheep8 · 31/08/2017 07:31

Hi Slinky, yes I forgot to add that it's regularly on offer for £10...is it just me but do you find that you get through the "under eye" cream quicker than the "above eye" gel? This thread reminded me to check supplies and I've got pots with plenty of gel left in but no cream...maybe need to slather on more at night methinks...

britespark1 · 31/08/2017 19:50

With eye cream when exactly do you apply it please? Before normal moisturiser or after?

Melabela10 · 31/08/2017 20:40

What's your budget?

I've tried quite a few of them and can only praise very few ( he rest are all the same made no difference )

Kiels avocado eye cream
Dior capture anti wrinkle cream - a bit heavy though

The best one is creme de la mer eye cream which really makes visible difference it costs a fortunate but goes a long way

slinkysaluki · 31/08/2017 20:48

Bluesheep I've run out I need to order some more but yes I do use more if the cream than the gel. I do find the gel refreshing though

harridan50 · 31/08/2017 20:53

Kiehls eyecream

SingingGoldfinch · 31/08/2017 21:40

Clinique's 'all about eyes' is really good stuff!

You only need about the size of a grain of rice for both eyes, you dab just below your eyes and then a bit above your eyes, under brows and to the eyelid crease, apparently not on the eyelid itself. You don't apply your normal moisturizer as well as eye cream. Just the eye cream for the eyes.
