Co washing recommendations

Just looking to get into this for my family. Wondering on a good product to start with, not too expensive. Think I will probably wash once a week with shampoo for a bit at least. Our hair is not particularly curly, but want something gentler and more natural. Anyone doing this, tips and recommendations please!

I like L'Oréal Elvive Low Shampoo. I've got the gold one. I use half the amount it advises on the bottle for my super fine hair. I've been using it for about 6 months now. My hair is softer than it used to be, and less greasy.
Sometimes I use a bit of Elvive conditioner on the ends, can't remember what it's called. It's the clay based one possibly, no silicones.

I use Aldi raspberry conditioner, the 45p one. I find it lathers really well. I use a lot to cowash and leave another handful in to soak into my hair, I have quite curly hair though. It's been 15m since I used shampoo and my hair has never been in better condition. Same for my daughters.

Sorry to be dim... what does this mean? Just using conditioner?

I use Tre Semme botanique, I work it into the hair, pin it up then rinse out at the end of my shower, leaving a little bit in. Leaves hair super soft and clean.
I used to use Pantene religiously, thought I was missing out and picked up a shampoo this week which I used this morning, hadn't shampooed my hair in over a year and it felt so stripped of moisture afterwards, definitely sticking to cowashing!

I have used palmers conwash there are two flavours coconut and olive. The coconut one obviously smells of coconut and is slightly heavier. The olive one just has a nondescript perfume and is slightly lighter. Smell aside this they are both great and I don't need anything else on my family's hair. I have used the L'Oréal elvive as well and prefer palmers

Yes to carrots here! Been over 2 years since I washed my hair with shampoo

Thanks all. I'm going gently. Bought a shampoo and con with no sulphates or silicones. I wondered if there was a conditioner which was more cleansing. I read about this stuff called New Wash which I would like to try but is prohibitively expensive - made of aloe vera gel, essential oils and other stuff - cleans and conditions in one. Wanted something a bit like that but finding it difficult to source. I think it's time to experiment a bit. That Aldi one sounds great!

Passthecake, it does mean using just conditioner, but there are some specific ones that are designed to clean and condition. They should have no sodium lauryl sulfate or silicones in them, I believe.

I use the Inecto coconut conditioner on my curly / wavy haired DDs and it works very well.

Thanks merry, might look out for it, I don't like the smell of coconut but I have a sensitive scalp so it sounds like it would help, will look out for tresemme as that's my go to, as I am allergic to L'Oréal and pantene...
