Clothes for slender toddler

Struggling with clothes for my 2yo DD. She's slim and active and nothing fits.

She's tall enough that clothes that are sensible width (don't come down without adult assistance) are starting to leave gaps which will be an issue in Autumn/Winter.

Which brands are best for narrow built kids? All I know is Sainsbury's used to be ok but now everything is short and wide and I really struggle to find things that appeal in Next/H&M (Next also too wide).

Pink not a problem, twee slogans not my style...

Thanks!

My Lg is tall and thin too, I go for M&s trousers, shorts and skirts as they have the elastic inside the waistband that you can tighten qith a button to make them smaller.

Otherwise tights and dresses are great as it doesn't matter if the dresses come up a bit short. Sainsburys are often quite large on the waist and average in length I find. my LG is 3 and a half and has several pairs of 2-3 trousers that I've had to put darts in at the back to stop them falling down.

I found marks quite wide in the baby range - Will have to find a bigger one to investigate slightly older options.

Thanks though!

Dresses are now above nappy without being tight on the chest - I don't mind mid thigh but these are too mini - I do sometimes do leggings with tunicy dresses though. Have a 6-9 jumper dress still going strong as a top!

Some of the Scandinavian brands are cut for slender frames. Including maxomorra and molo. Pricey but you can get them cheaper second hand on FB.

Oh and at the other end of the market, I find Primark are pretty narrow fitting.

Their body suits are really slender - I have a tall toddler that has lost her baby fat ruuning about :) Yet she will not fit in the majority of clothes from that shop. So maybe worth a try.

I found Gap were the only leggings and trousers that would stay up on my slender DD. They come up small overall though so size up for length.

Vertbaudet are good for my skinny boy. Come in different hip widths and I always get narrow which work for him. I assume the girls' range is similar. They pretty much always have a sale on as well. Otherwise, we also have some successes with H&M, and primark, although both seem to vary quite a lot between different items of clothing.

H&M boys !!! Tall and thin, lots of plain bright striped Ts and plain coloured jeans. Dressed both my tall thin dc (a DS and a DD) from there.

FresasAndFrambuesas · 17/08/2017 19:15

I second vertbaudet. Also boots used to be good, particularly for tunic type dresses that for first as dresses, then as tops later on

fluffywallow · 17/08/2017 19:15

I second m&s - my 2yr 10month old DD is tall and slim and their clothes tend to fit well. Sainsbury's trousers are ok, I find tops too short. Jumpers for winter are going to be tricky!

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 17/08/2017 19:16

Our DD is the same and we like Boots Mini Club as they seem long and slim

Orangebird69 · 17/08/2017 19:24

3rd Verbaudet. Also, leggings from 2 little legs. My ds lives in them. They do gorgeous dresses and rompers too.

HeyMicky · 17/08/2017 19:33

And another for vertbaudet Smile Also Primark skinnies are ok for length and have an adjustable waist

ceeveebee · 17/08/2017 19:35

And I also came on here to say verbaudet - they come up very small and fit my tiny DD a treat

Katescurios · 20/08/2017 10:21

Just remembered the lidl leggings, bought some last winter and they're really holding strong. Good quality thick jerseyand long legs.
