Jewellery help!

I've got my 30th birthday in the autumn, and family wondering what to buy me.

I've had a crazy couple of years- surprise first baby, bought and sold a house, separated from DP, moved back to my home city and am about to try start a new career.

It's been hectic. And I've gone from lots of disposable income to skint.

It's frivolous and ridiculous, considering the lack of cash, and there's lots I NEED but actually what I WANT is a piece of jewellery that I'm going to treasure forever, and will age well...

I'm thinking a ring. Preferably a small designer, nothing high street. I like silver and hammered gold, folky but not twee, can wear chunky jewellery well, delicate gets lost on my hands, but not so big I have to take it off for practical tasks, and don't want a stone. Max £300-400 (I'm guessing).

(More generally to give you an idea of the sort of person I am, I like Art Deco, arts and crafts, Monty Don, books, Dylan Thomas, red wine, folk stories, wear a lot of vintage and minimalist cut black, navy and grey, red lips and nails (when I get chance!) and greatly miss smoking roll ups (gave them up for DS).)

Any help or steers on designers greatly appreciated!

I'd have a look on etsy and pinterest. Maybe get something made if you don't find what you want.

Joy Everley has some amazing rings in a wide range of prices. If you like Art Deco you might like the sun hurst letter rand NHS, I also love her baroque signet rings, and the nature inspired ones basically all of them. www.joyeverley.co.uk/collections/rings
