Please recommend a hair texturised no product

Please can anyone recommend a hair texturising product.

I had my hair cut yesterday, it's shoulder length and I have had loads of long layers put in. My hair is very fine. Today my hair just looks too neat so I'm thinking a texturising product may help.

A couple of years ago I tried a salt spray but it just tangled my hair and made it very dull and crispy so it wasn't a good look.

Thanks style and beauty.

Sorry, not sure where the no came from in the title.

Watching with interest, I've tried so many over the years but can never get the look I want!!

cherryblack · 12/08/2017 09:33

Half, which products have you tried. I've just been on boots website and there are a lot of texturising products but I am clueless. Having fine hair probably makes this more of a challenge.

I use salt spray - spray it onto damp hair is the key to preventing cancer crispyness

Veterinari · 12/08/2017 09:35

Bloody autocorrect - pretty sure salt spray doesn't prevent cancer Hmm

PonderLand · 12/08/2017 09:36

I use Toni and guy salt spray, it doesn't go crusty like some of the other products

splatattack · 12/08/2017 09:37

I have longer hair but I use the Aussie salt spray which is great! Spray onto damp hair, scrunch up and let dry...if you feel your hair is still dull use shine spray on the top once dry and all should be sorted!!

After buying almost every product known to man (often from hairdressers) I recently discovered Moroccan Surf Paste. I found it in Boots and it is the best thing I've ever used! It has and sea kelp in it apparently as well as sea salt so is a lovely texture.
I liked it so much I've bought 2 spare tubs i case they discontinue it...Grin

Ifonly is it the Ogx Moroccan surf paste. It wasn't showing on Boots website but they have it in Superdrug for £4.66 which has a third off at the moment.

Only a couple of days ago I purchased Ogx lemon highlight shampoo and conditioner which I'm loving.

Thanks.

I've tried most of the vo5 sprays, bumble and bumble salt spray, Aussie stuff, various ones from the hairdresser!

I've found that the closest thing I can use is dry shampoo!

wobblywonderwoman · 13/08/2017 22:53

I using a product called naked at the moment. Think it is by herbal essence. It is light but adds texture. Also have sea salt spray but is crispy

SignoraStronza · 13/08/2017 22:55

Lush's 'Mr Dandy's Hair Candy'. Smells amazing too.

Lee Stafford messy hair putty is great. Then I finish with Elnett
I don't use much of either.

Ifonlyiweretaller · 14/08/2017 08:20

Sorry i missed your comment yesterday Cherry. Yes, that is the product I use and love. I hope it works for you too!

friendlessme · 14/08/2017 08:25

Last time I got my hair cut the hairdresser used L'Oréal techni art super dust. It is a powder you sprinkle on and it gives texture. It's a bit weird not sure how it works but it does!

Ifonlyiweretaller · 14/08/2017 08:59

I've tried various of the powders and they just don't do it for me, I hate the way they make my hair feel..

cherryblack · 14/08/2017 09:26

I have tried a couple of the powders in the past and they just glue my hair together and I can't get a brush through it.

I have a pixie crop which needs texture to look good. I use the Toni & Guy seasalt spray on just washed hair. Just spray it into the roots, then brush through to the ends. It never feels crispy.

seefeld · 14/08/2017 10:43

Keratase Spray-a-Porter is really good for texture for both leaving to dry naturally or blow drying. I also like Bumble and Bumble air drying cream - it's expensive but lasts forever as you only need a pea sized amount each time.
