Toddler boys pjs that are not boring! Any recommendations for boutiques?

I've tried all of the high street obvious ones for nice quality pjs but I want some new ones for my nearly three year old but don't want the usual: motor cars, stripes, minions/Star Wars/any other character that always seems to be on boys clothing.

Anyone got any ideas? Searching on the internet is just taking me down a black hole of expensive designer clothes which I don't have the budget for.

Think Next/M&S type budget...

The White Company have a sale on. Love their pyjamas.

Ahh thanks Sitting I haven't tried there yet

Boden are a bit pricier, but the skinny fitting pjs (the ones with cuffs at the wrists and ankles) wash and wear really well. The boy I look after has had some for two years and they still look great. They have stripes and nice prints. The more baggy fitting ones haven't fared as well and have lost their shape and faded.

Sittinginthesun · 10/08/2017 22:04

Yes, Boden (but never full price, find a discount code), and also John Lewis.

Hatley are lovely, you can get them cheaper on Amazon

weebarra · 10/08/2017 22:09

Hatley, Maxomorra, Boden, Little Green Radicals.

Jo Jo Mamam Bebe does lovely PJs for toddlers. The wear and wash really well.

Little Bird at mothercare.

I always loved GAP pjs when my kids were little - skinny fit so stay out during the night and the last for ages

Purplefrogshoes · 10/08/2017 22:14

I love maxomorra pjs

OhWifey · 10/08/2017 22:19

Have you tried Frugi? Beautiful colourful prints

FreeButtonBee · 10/08/2017 22:21

Gap good for skinny kids. Fun without being too 'usual suspect'.

I bought some lovely ones for my 2 year old from m&s not so long ago, chevron type legging bottoms and a cool top with glow in the dark logo. 100% cotton.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 10/08/2017 22:25

Try Etsy

N0tNowBernard · 10/08/2017 22:27

Great, I've not heard of a few of these places so it's nice to have somewhere new to check.

Looked at the white company and they're quite similar to his old ones I'm going to replace. Looked at m&s too and the same problem that they are designs he's pretty much had variations of already.

I'd like something a bit quirky but just don't know where to look. Going to check some of these out. If anyone has any other gems to add that would be great.

GAP make great quality pyjamas and they have quirky designs sometimes Smile

N0tNowBernard · 10/08/2017 22:33

Shyloh and freebutton

Why have I never loved at Gap before?!? The pjs are great!! I don't know why but I would never have thought of looking there.

We have a Gap in our city, but it's only Gap outlet so so I just never bothered. Gah I want to go and browse now!

And professor! I see you like Gap too. My DS is 3 in November, I can't believe I've only just discovered the pjs!

The bright company - I got dd some andloved them so much I bought myself a pair too! They're unisex and the most comfortable things ever.

N0tNowBernard · 10/08/2017 22:36

I can't wait to look at these other websites you've suggested too. I looked at Boden and joules but never heard of Frugi, Maxomorra and little green radicals. Excited to look!

Gap pjs are amazing. We get all ours from the outlet store.

N0tNowBernard · 10/08/2017 22:39

I have three pairs in the basket already! Grin

Q on Gap - what are the sizes like? They seem to be in years 2 or 3yrs rather than 2-3. My DS is a big chap. He's not three until Nov but am thinking 2 years might be too small? Never had anything from Gap so not sure if they are big in general?

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 10/08/2017 22:55

Gap sizing is smaller, definitely size up

N0tNowBernard · 10/08/2017 22:55

Great, thanks!

Check out polarn o pyret (PoP) too, usually in house of Fraser. Expensive but they wash and wear really well and last forever thanks to cuffs which turn up. I also liked jojomamanbebe for pjs but did find the tops sometimes shrank.

I made some pj bottoms for ds recently and chose very funky fabric. It was my first item of clothing and wasn't too difficult. An alternative? :)
