Hello!

So I have just about run out of all my make up as have been on maternity leave and wanting to save money haven't bought anything. Plus to be honest I haven't wanted to wear make up that much anyway.

That being said I'm heading back to work soon and would love to get a full make up kit together. I've been saving up so have a little money put aside for new clothes, make up etc so would love to hear your recommendations!

I'm particularly interested in:

Primer (for pores/oiliness)
Foundation
Mascara
Lip products
Powders

What do you think is worth buying?

Thanks in advance Grin

The elf pore reducing primer is fab
Agree on amazing gold tube mascara from Kiko and Revolution setting spray, also love the revolution pallettes which are about £4.99 for 15-20 colours.
Liz Earle creme blusher is my one expense because I can't find anything as good.

Love rimmel face powder
Boujouis gel foundation is perfection
no.17 phwoar concealer better than expensive alternatives

Foundation: Clinique City Block in the summer, Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser otherwise. I also use a LRP sunscreen spray for spf top ups during the day if I'm out a lot

Concealer: Bobbi Brown serum concealer or the pot concealer. Both set with the yellow powder that comes with the pot concealer

Blusher and bronzer: Currently Smashbox powders (from a huge palette I bought a few weeks ago on sale) but I also really like Bobbi Brown pot rouge and a Kevin Aucoin cream duo, just got bored of using them every day...

Highlighter (not everyday): either from my new Smashbox palette or a Nars multiple

Nars setting powder

Lancôme waterproof mascara

Eyebrows: powder and wax from my Smashbox palette or a Nars pencil

Eyes: I don't wear eye shadow or liner every day but like the Smashbox ones that came in my palette along with an Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. I also really like the UD Naked palettes (I've got Naked One plus the big matte palette)

Lips: tinted balm or a Rosie for Autograph gloss pencil for everyday. Evenings out I wear either Smashbox, Mac or Lipstick Queen lipsticks with a liner from Mac

I love Clinique city block in the summer - it gives a really good and even complexion and looks very natural.
Foundation - I've tried them all over the years and my two favourites are Estée Lauder Double Wear (too heavy for everyday but I wear it for nights out) and Mac Studiofix (my everyday foundation).
Mascara I don't buy high end as to be honest there's no need, Rimmel, L'Oréal and Maybelline all do mascaras that are excellent and I am also a big fan of Kiko mascara
I don't use primer so can't comment, eye shadow I really like Clinique and lipsticks I think Mac do the best variety of colours with excellent pigment.
