Tip on looking less knackered

So I went to work today, looked ok in my appearance or so I thought! I had literally walked through the door and a colleague turns around and said god you look knackered! Ffs!! I wouldn't mind but I just spent 15 mins doing my make up! I'm trying out the new Estée Lauder foundation too, I honestly thought I looked ok and to be told that had really pissed me off! I have a one year old who still wakes up multiple times a night and I have tear troughs under my eyes which don't help!

So I'm posting for tips on how to not look "knackered"

If I forget to put blusher on then I look totally drained and exhausted.

Not everyone's cup of tea but I'm gonna say BOTOX, just gives you a bit of a younger, fresher sheen- I have a toddler and baby so have very little sleep

Hyaluronic acid eye masks. The ones that are like a crescent for under each eye. I got a pack of them for a steal from Groupon and they really plump my hollow undereyes.

And The Ordinary Caffeine 5% Solution. I've been using it for about a month and I'm sure the deep line under each eye that I have had since I was about 15 is shrinking.

For dark circles, a peachy coloured concealer disguises the purple. MUA (at Superdrug) has one for about £3 and it really works.

Someone mentioned filler for tear troughs earlier in the thread. Has anyone tried this? I always look knackered, even after 12 hours sleep, but I'm terrified of doing something to my eyes that might go wrong.

Jmangel 3 or 4 teaspoons, not 3/4 sadly - might be a bit more palatable if it were the latter! The more teaspoons full you add in, and the more cups per day you drink the better it works, but two cups is my maximum. I started noticing a difference after three days of it.

I assume you draw your eyebrows? As you get older, your eyebrows get sparser. Putting colour and shape in helps to frame the face and makes you look alert and less washed out instantly.

Thanks Loup - def going to try it.

Don't put mascara on your bottom lashes. It makes under eyes circles look darker.
My top tip for days when you're sleep deprived is a wearing a bright white top. The light reflects up towards your face. Also lots of fresh air, eg walking to work or parking and walking?

I use the estee lauded double wear and it sits in all the nooks and crannies of my face! I've started mixing it with benefit highbeam, to give it a bit more of a dewy glow as the foundation on it's own is fairly thick! I've had some lovely compliments since!

I'd dilute the foundation
Add some glow highlighter to eye area and some blusher
Blusher makes a big difference
Actually I think thick under eye concealer a or foundation can makes things worse
